Sophie can speak and can shake hands. She is learning how to retrieve a ball, but hasn't quite got it yet.

Arrival Story:
I was at the pet store and Animal Alliance of NJ was there (http://www.animalalliancenj.org/) on a Saturday and I was awaiting rescue.... Homer's mom came in to buy dog food and I rolled over and showed her my belly - she fell in love instantly and boy has she paid for that! I ate a lot of furniture my first year, but I no longer have a taste for it. See that picture of me upside down in the chair? I completely destroyed that chair once, but Mom was nice enough to get it recovered for me.

Bio:
I am sleek and beautiful like a whippet or greyhound, and I can run like the wind, but I have a deep voice and my vet thinks I could be part boxer. I used to suffer from acute separation anxiety, but my mom rearranged her life for me and works from home so I no longer get anxious when she leaves! I am not the brightest bulb in the bunch, but I have figured out how to puncture a can of catfood with my canines and suck out the gooey smelly cat food!
