Arrival Story:
I had never owned a dog before and wanted a Yorkshire Terrier for several reasons: I suffer from allergies (Yorkies don't shed) and I was scared of big dogs. Plus, it was the "dog of choice" for Audrey Hepburn, who is big in my book. We needed a Yorkie that was at least a year old to satisfy our apartment regulations. We searched hi and lo and ended up driving 3 hours to pick up Nina. When she spent the next two weeks sitting in a corner in our closet, shaking, I knew that we had gotten The Anti-Yorkie.

Bio:
Nina is not your average Yorkie. She doesn't bark (although she will if Gus licks her in the face) and she's not territorial. She chooses to communicate through a series of growls and choking noises, each one more bizarre than the previous. She loves to cuddle, and sleeps curled up in my arm every night. She has an awful coat, thus the short puppy cut year round. And, she is ultra fond of her bumblebee costume, choosing to even sleep in it- antennaes and all.
