Arrival Story:
We found Sandy at the pound when she was probably eight weeks old. She was incarcerated w/ her sister who was much fatter than she - and would NOT let her get to the food bowl. When first checked out, our vet said she had a bad case of worms. The vet - at that time - said she'd be a medium-sized dog at best; no more than 30 pounds. However, after she was cured of worms, we could see her growing DAILY - I mean we could SEE her growing! When she returned to the vet just a few weeks later, the vet said that she would be much larger than she first thought. Sandy is now over 55 pounds of pure love!

Bio:
We are not sure of Sandy's heritage, although she really looks like she has a lot of Rhodesian Ridgeback in her. She LOVES the water and snow, so perhaps she has some retriever in her. She has a spotted tongue and a curled tail, so perhaps she has some Chow in her. Whatever she is, she is one-of-a-kind! We are so thankful to have her; she is a gem!
