Back In The House

Summer time is upon us here in Texas. My people let me sleep in the house but every morning they make me and my brother Max go into our back yard while they go to school and work. We have a nice back yard with lots of room to run and play and frolic all day. But it sure has been getting hot in the afternoons. So today we decided that we would really rather spend the hot afternoon inside the nice cool house. Lucky for us, Daddy left the window to the utility room open and forgot about it. Also lucky for us there is a table right outside that window. I may not have the longest legs in the world, but I do have a lot of ambition. I jumped up on that table and took a good look through that window. There is this thing on the outside but it was no match for my teeth. A couple of times of grabbing and pulling and the whole things came loose. And guess what......I jumped on through that window. Then my brother Max came on in the house too! When Mommy got home, we were not at the gate waiting for her as usuall. Somedays I am not at the gate waiting because I have dug another hole and freed myself. But this afternoon Max was not waiting there either. So Mom called us and looked all around the yard. Of course we were no where to be found. So Mom came on in the house to put her purse down and do a better search. When she came through the Utility room she had an awful feeling that someone was in her house. Little did she know it was us. So Mom came sneaking in real slow and quite and we did not here her......until she caught us both asleep on the kitchen table! She was so sneaky we did not hear her until we were busted! Now the secret is out and its all our fault. Dogs love to sleep on the table when no one is home!
