Arrival Story:
A co-worker of my mom's was breeding Pomeranians and American Eskimos, and accidentaly made a cross. She tried selling them in a town nearby, but Oreo wouldn't sell. She told my mom that they might have to put him to sleep, but my mom said she'd take him if we got him for free.

Oreo had been in the family for as long as I can remember. We named him 'Oreo' because we thought he looked like an Oreo cookie. Actually, my sister and I wanted to name him 'Beethoven', like the St. Bernard in the movie, but we compromised by having his middle name be 'Mozart'. Oreo was a loving dog, and I miss him greatly. I feel that his spirit is still with us, though. Sometimes when I open the gate when walking home from school, I can hear him barking a greeting. I always loved Oreo, and he will never be forgotten. It was always hard to get a good picture of Oreo because when he was younger his face was completely black. In some of the pictures I have of him, you can't see his eyes. Dixie loved sleeping on him, and Oreo didn't mind. I think that Oreo looked after her a lot. Oreo liked being outside most of the time, and he used to chase wasps and bees around the yard, trying to catch them in his mouth.
