Aloha!!!

Yesterday my family had a hawaiian memorial day party. It was so much fun. We decorated the backyard with all these hawaiian decorations. Everyone got to wear a hawiian lay, even katie and I. I didn't like all the balloons though. Since it was a little breezy the balloons were going crazy and it scared me. However, The best part was the food! We made hot dogs, chicken, steak, pork and beef ribs, beans, corn on the cob...and the list goes on. Since the guests at our house can't resist my professional begging face, I ate a good share of all the food (despite my family's request to "please don't feed the dogs"). I can't wait for the next big party...Fourth of July...sounds good to me!

I love the Beach!!!

So katie and I have gotten to go to the beach 4 times in three weeks. Mom and Dad forgot how much fun it is for everyone there. We went last saturday and Sunday (Easter) and it was pretty cloudy out but it was still fun. Yesterday was much better since the sun was out. Mom and Dad says that now that they know even when it's cold outwe still have fun, we can go all the time. They plan on taking us every saturday!!! Anyways there are so many dogs to play with and fun things to smell. Then once the tide started to get low there was this little ditch in the sand that made a pool. I am still not sure about those waves but the little pool area was fun to splash in. I can't wait until next saturday!

2 years ago

Two years ago my family came to the dog rescue where all my brothers and sisters were. One of sisters fell in love with me, but my other sister fell in love with my littermate, katie. They only came for one dog and my sister who fell in love with me was about to give in and let my other sister have her pick , and they were going to take Katie instead of me. My sister had a look of dissapointment on her face as she put me back down with the rest of my brothers. Then our foster mom, suggested to them to take us both. My sister never thought mom would go for two puppies but dad said he felt bad having to tell one of my sisters they couldn't have the dog they wanted. So my sister called mom and with some negotiations, mom said maybe it would be better to have two, for a couple reasons. One being it wouldn't be so stressfull on katie and me to go to a new home if we had each other, and we would have each other to play with whenever our family wasn't home. So on January 14, 2004 Katie and I came home with our new family. We didn't even cry at night ( but maybe that was because we got to sleep with our human sisters). Now two years later we are just as happy! ( and we still sleep with our human sisters and mom and dad too)

New Puppy

Today my human sisters friend came over and she brought a puppy with her. When I meet a new dog, I like them to be calm and not all hyper. Well most puppies I have met have endless amounts of energy and I tend to just go in my room when they come over. But not this puppy, he was very polite. He just kinda stood there and let me sniff him and then he sniffed me, but not too much. We didn't play or anything but it was in the morning and i just woke up so i wasn't really in the mood to play anyway. I like this puppy, maybe he will come over again.

Bug free!

Well we got our house fumagated and now our house has no bugs. Which is both good and bad. Its good because now we dont have to worry about gross bugs, but its bad because those gross bugs are fun to chase. While our house was tented we went back to the mountains. I got to go in that big ol' lake again. I had so much fun. I wish there was a lake around here i could swim in. I want to go back to dog beach but there were lots of jelly fish recently and mom didn't want me getting stung. I think they're all gone now, maybe we will go before summer is over. Talk to ya soon.

Tenting Our House?

So Mom and Dad have been talking about getting our house tented so that we can kill all the termites that live in the wood of our house. However, nobody can be in the house while it is tented. Mom and Dad had no idea what to do with Katie and I, so they decided that maybe we should take another trip back up to big bear. So they worked it all out and in another two weeks its back up to those mountains for some fresh air, cool breeze, and a nice big lake to swim in!!

The Vet

Yesterday I had to go to the vet. It was just for a annual physical so i didn't have to get any shots or anything. The Doctor said I was in excellent health. We knew I was healthy but I guess annual physicals are a great way to confirm that. Mom asked about my teeth because she wanted to know if i needed them professionally cleaned ( my family cleans them at home but it's hard to reach all the areas of my teeth), but the vet said they looked fine and to just keep brushing them at home. She said next year she'll check them agian to see if they should be cleaned. Anyways I am healthy and happy!

I'm Home!!

Hey guys, I just got back from my trip to big bear, ca! I had probably the most fun I have ever had. I usually get car sick so mom was worried that I would get sick because of all the windy roads. To prevent me from getting car sick the vet gave me some medicine to relax me, it worked because i just slept and no sickness. When we got there I sniffed our cabin out. It was a whole new environment..birds, bugs, and an cool animal called a squirrel! Our second day we went to the lake. I went swimming for the first time ever! It was so much fun, my family would throw my floating toy in the water and I would run, jump, then swim to get it. Our third day there we went hiking. Before we could go on our hike we had to stop by the discovery center to get a parking permit and maps of the hiking trails. We thought we would have to stay outside while mom got all the that stuff, but then they told us dogs are welcome to come in. The nice staff even gave katie and I treats! We also ran into a couple who had a dog that looked just like me. On the hike we saw lots of birds, squirrels, and another cool animal called a lizard. Katie and I would try to chase the lizards but they we way too fast and they would run off the trail and we weren't allowed off the trails. Then today we woke up I took my medicine and headed home. I had a great time but it's good to be home agian. Well I am still tired from all that playing so I am gonna go back to bed. See you guys later.

Vacation???

So I found out today that we are leaving to go on vacation tomorrow. What is vacation? I have never heard of this. I guess we are gonna drive in the car for about 2 hours. Mom said we have a cabin in the mountains. There is a lake and tons of hiking trails. It sounds like a lot of fun. The only bad thing is I won't be at home. Dad told mom to pack our dog beds so at least I can sleep in my own bed. I have to admit i am getting a little excited about this trip. My family has bought Katie and I all kinds of new toys and treats. We can't have them untill we get there, so i can't wait. I sure will miss all my Dogster pals but I will be back on Thursday. my first sleep over

Yesterday my friend Kitson got to spend the night at our house. I used to be afraid of Kitson but I am getting used to her the more she comes over. I like when she comes over but I wasn't sure about having her stay the night. I was kinda jealous that she would be able to sleep with our family, it's bad enough i have to share with katie and she's my sister. Well I got over my jealously pretty quickly once I realized my family still gave me tons of attention. I even let Kitson sleep with me and my human sister. The one thing i didn't like is she woke me up to play really early and i just wanted to sleep. Lucky for me Katie is always there to take care of me, because she played with Kitson so i could sleep. Anyways it was a really fun night, i guess sleep overs aren't so bad after all.
