My hubby came home one day and said that some one was selling yorkie pups.. I have always wanted one since I was little... So we hoped in the car and went to look!! Out of the bunch, one walked out to me when I sat down.. He was mine.. He picked me!! I fell in love instantly!!!......... Bio: Riddick's Second Arrival Story . . . . . . . . . .
My mother and I had been looking for a new dog to keep Huxley (and us) company. We were looking online, and had met two dogs already (Huxley didn't like them), when my mother found Riddick. I wasn't home, but she immediately called me and told me to look at his picture. When I got home I did, and he was the most beautiful dog. We went and met him the next day, and that was it, he was ours. He was tough, but so sweet, and when we brought him home Huxley actually liked him. Today Hux, Rid, and I went for our first bush walk of the year. I brought the dogs up to McTav because it's a nice place for them to run. It was my first time bringing Rid into the bush so I was a little worried that he might not be well behaved, but he was PERFECT!
He ran in the opening and peed everywhere possible. It was adorable. Then he ran into the lake and played in the water. I didn't realize that he loved water, so I was really surprised.
Huxley kind of did his own thing, but when Rid ran into the water Huxley followed and then ran out immediately (he's a water hating poodle)
We've been home for a little while now and Rid is sleeping on my feet.
Later tonight we'll probably go up the street and visit his friend Smoky, a cute pom.
This morning Riddick woke my dad up, so my dad got out of bed and walked around to see what he wanted. He brought Rid to the front door, but instead of going outside, he ran to my room and jumped at my door.
So my dad let him in. Rid jumped on top of Huxley's kennel (I put a blanket on it so that he can jump on my bed problem free) and then got into bed next to me.
We slept for two more hours until I was ready to get up.
It makes me sad to go through it because some of Marco's toys are still in it. Putting Marco to sleep was so hard and getting rid of his toys seems just as hard.
There's a baseball that isn't at all suitable for a yorkie or a poodle, a large black kong, frizbees, big chew toys and there was a tickle me elmo (Marco's favourite toy, his favourite pillow, and the one that had to go first in order for us to stop crying)
The box is quickly being filled with smaller toys.
There are little itty bitty kongs, little squeaky toys that Huxley likes to ruin, a rubber chicken (Riddick's new favourite toy), and colourful tennis balls (no more baseballs). It also has the cute plush toys that the dogs don't play with nearly as much.
A green mouse that was the first toy we bought Rid usually makes its round of the house every day.
My parent's bed is usually where the toys end up. Rid likes to bring them to bed. Then in the morning we put them all the basket to be dispensed again.
Marco's toys are still there sitting untouched, but it's sweet to see the joy that the toy box has brought to Rid and Hux.
