Arrival Story:
News came of Frankie's arrival from the birth mother's owner in Florida. He told us that Frankie was the runt, but the cutest of all the puppies. Frank has blue eyes - hence the name Ol' Blue Eyes. Frankie arrived in New York on Christmas Eve as a 10 week old puppy. He was a passenger in a van that drove from Florida to New York nearly non-stop. His first days in New York were very cold. We wrapped him in a blanket to take him out.

Bio:
Frankie passed away on Monday April 23, 2007. He became ill on April 13, 2007 and simply was not able to recover in spite of 11 days in intensive care. Frankie was simply the kindest and best pooch ever. He loved people, children and puppies. He loved to sleep, as close as possible to me. While we "shared" a bed, Frankie always managed to hog much more than half, because he would continously sidle over to me and I would eventually move. He was like sleeping next to an electric heater. Frankie wasn't much of a walker but when he wanted to go out there was no debating in which way to go. He always had his own mind set about that. He slept under a blanket at night and with one of his plush toys during the day. He is now in heaven floating on a big fluffy cloud bed. I will keep him in my heart forever.

Halloween last year

Dear Diary,
I have been very lax in my entries. Each time I ask my human to sit down and write a note, she makes some excuse or other - first the broken computer and then she couldn't download the pictures of me. She is hopeless at this stuff.
So Halloween last year I was in the block parade. I wore my skull party collar. I think it came from California. It's very cool and lots of people stopped to pet me and give me treats - no tricks for me.
So this year I am already getting ready to go again cos it is way too much fun. Trying to think of a new costume though. Party collar only works one year.

Clean teeth

Dear Diary,

My human said that I had bad breath and needed to get my teeth cleaned. She keeps trying to get in my mouth with this thing I don't like. I try to bite it and lick the stuff on it. Sometimes she tries with her finger. I really don't like anyone near my mouth.

Monday we walked over to Dr. K - actually I ran all the way cos I really like Dr. K. I had to stay there though - which I don't like that much. My human came back later. She made such a big fuss, smothered me in kisses and looked at my teeth. She is very happy - she says I smell good. OK. If that makes her happy - good with me.

I'm not allowed to eat greenies anymore. Something about indigestible. They never gave me any problem except green poop. There are still some on the shelf - I can see them. Maybe one of these days she will change her mind.
Until then it's cookies!

Happy new year

What's the big deal with New Year's anyway? I don't get it. Seems like just another day to me. All these people invaded the apartment last week. The whole place was upsidedown - furniture rearranged - even my bed got moved. The food was great - what I could manage to get. Finally some kids came in. I let them dress me up in some jewelry and stuff. It was a bit humiliating but I got some goodies. Next day I could not even move. My human said that it was okay to just hang out and relax cos it was a "holiday". Seems like just another day to me.
I met this great bitch Augie the Doggie. She lives across the street and I dig her alot. Of course I still like Maggie and Lisle too. But they're a little small for me. Augie is just right and we can have a good romp. Now there is a great dane puppy next door. She is only 20 weeks old and is already as tall as me. I'm afraid she is going to be REALLY BIG.
What happened to all the snow this year? It was nice and cold for a couple of days. I wore my coat and had a good time in the park. I want some snow.
