Likes: I LOVE the outdoors! Especially in Fall when I attempt to catch every single leaf that falls off a tree! If you are in a park and pick up a stick, Watch Out! I will jump as high as needed to catch it! I love digging tunnels in the snow!
Pet-Peeves: I hate water! Just try to give me a bath! I'll show you the Shiba 500! I hate that mean loud vacuum cleaner! I will get it someday and then it will be sorry. And what is it with some of these kids trying to B-line it to catch me?!
Favorite Toy: Ok so I like cat toys, sue me! I do have puppy which I like to sleep with. I love it when my mom blows bubbles for me to catch! Balls and Sticks get me running!
Favorite Food: Benefold, I love visiting my grampa since he will give me bacon!
Favorite Walk: Mohican park on the Falls trail. There is a river that runs thru it that is the only place I will play in the water!
Best Tricks: I am hansome and I know how to train humans! They can be slow at times but I think we have an understanding.
Arrival Story: We researched for about 2 years on which breed would fit best in our lives and our house. We found the Shiba inu really met all of our needs. Unfortunately, we figured that going to an animal show would be the best way to see several breeders in one place. We didn't know that buying dogs from those shows are just as bad as buying a pet store dog. But either way we found him and his brother in a playpen as puppies. We held them both and Diesel peed on us. It was love at first site. LOL. My husband who grew up on a farm debated me before we got him saying that dogs belong only outside and not in the house. Well, next thing you know we have Diesel and we got his gear from another vendor at the show and it was a hot day. Dave put down some water for Diesel and then put himself over him to make some shade for him as he drank his water. Lets just say Diesel is not an outside dog but a rather spoilt indoor child!
Bio: We are working on getting him trained even more and will probably be hosting a weekend training camp thru ShibaClubOhio.com for shibas and honorary shibas to teach them all sorts of goodies!
