Arrival Story:
We adopted Prince Vlad the Friday after Christmas. I have been asking and asking for an Alaskan Malamute and finally we adopted Vlad. He's so sweet and smart, and he definitely does NOT like to be alone. Even when we're just upstairs he cries the entire time. He's doing pretty well with the house training, but I think we need to get a bell since he won't bark when he has to go outside. We love this dog so much.

Obedience School

Vlad did so well with his first night of obedience school. I was concerned about the ride over, but I sat in the back seat with him and he was a little excited at first, but then just laid down. So well behaved. He was so well behaved in class and was basically just "chill". The only issue that we ran into was trying to get him up and down the stairs! We'll definitely have to work on that one!

The trainer informed us that a harness was not a good idea when training Malamutes - that goes to show how much I know! I am looking forward to class next week. Vlad is so smart - I think it's just a matter of consistency.
