Best Tricks:
getting people to pick her up and hold her

Arrival Story:
Crystal came from the Handler guy. She is a powder puff Crested and was originally going to be a show dog but one of her ears refused to stand. Cryssie didn't mind, she became a house pet and never looked back!

Crystal loves anyone and everyone. Inside the house she is calm, cool and collected and a perfect angel. Outside, she is a totally wild woman, racing around and stomping in any and all mud puddles she finds. Even outside alone she will grab a toy and race in a huge circle as fast as she can! I just love watching her in action.

Hehehe, I have never had any honors and I got TWO in the same month!!!! Wowwee!
It is a great honor you have bestowed upon me, I only wish this would last FOREVER instead of only until March 3rd, darn it all. Mom did get a whole bunch of new photos yesterday and at least with my honor more people will get to see them, BOL!
We have been trying to get on some of the newer sites to see what they are all about but man, are we having problems!! So far, out of five different places Mom has tried we have only gotten into two and they weren't what we were looking for at all.
We like Dogster because it is about the dogs!!! Any site that won't let us have dog pages is not for us. Gee, one place we checked put everyone's photos all in the same place and they were tiny, too, with no headings at all. Nope, not what we need.
Anyway, thanks for all the gifts and well wishes. Now I got a date outside with another five inches of new powder!!! Catch ya later!!!

Diary of the Day!!!!!

WOW, exciting day for me!!! Mom got an email (that in itself was exciting, BOL!), and it said I was the Diary pick of the Day!! That is soo neat, I don't think I've ever been picked for that before.
Also, Mom took me over to work to get a groom cuz her regular clients didn't show up since it was soooo cooollllddd here today. Sure, they don't have to get groomed but I do, cold or not.
To make it even worse, I have been growing out my long, flowing locks since late Summer and they were getting pretty long. Sadly, as Mom found out, they were also getting pretty matted!!! She did try combing out a few of them, but it was a LONG process and she didn't want me to have to lie there for all that pulling and tugging so she got out the famous clippers and voila, no more matts!!!
She did leave it about an inch long all over my bod, except for the Crest which she left long since I am, after all, a Chinese CRESTED! Frankly, I love the new doo... if you are going to race thru wet snow and dirty mud it is much nicer to be wash and wear instead of having those lovely, long, flowing locks that need to be combed out every single day IF you run thru the snow and mud.
In spite of the groom, I did enjoy a nice day over at the kennel, and had an enjoyable lunch with Tonya and Mom.
Now I am enjoying a nice evening reading my new comments and checking out my new gifts, including some GREAT MEATZ from Zaidie!!!! Thanks, Pal. Are you gonna be at the Valentines pawty??? Could you head East first in your Lear Jet and pick us up??? Thanks, again.

New year, new SNOW!!!

What a great start to the new year. We got between 11 and 12 inches of fresh, dry powder on Thursday. Wonder of all wonders, it stayed well below freezing on Friday and Saturday so today when Mom got out of work we all got to go play in all that fresh snow.
I could hardly contain myself while Mom got us all decked out in our jackets. It was cold, and I must admit, I have some matts in my long flowing hair so I didn't want it to get all wet and stringy so I happily accepted a nice, warm fleece jacket.
Off we went, and I discovered the most wonderful, fluffly, deep snow. Since Quincy wasn't with us, I got the whole field to make all the paths I wanted to on my own. That snow just flew all around me as I raced thru, fun, FUN!!! I don't think I ever stopped running, it was too perfect to quit.
After a while the others started gathering around Mom and trying to convince her it was time to head home. Not me, I still had acres and acres to break paths thru. I ran and ran and even while they were all heading home, I was still racing all over the place. Finally, Momsie called me and I reluctantly returned home.
The good news...I looked back at the field and the wind had blown almost all of that powdery snow right back into a level playing field once again. Too bad it's supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow. Hard to believe, it is still only 25 degrees!!!!
