"Wow, I had to stop playing with Mr. Froggie cuz Mom said the photos are mostly fixed now. You can add them but keep an eye on your comments IF you have plus. If they disappear, back out without saving anything and start again!! It WILL work eventually."

My Skye spent the night with me last night. Mom got us a new comforter to comfort us when we go camping in three weeks. We got to try it on for size! It was pretty comforting, especially with the nice pillow!

Toto came from a breeder out in Kansas, hence the name. He was 10 months old when he arrived and, for me, at least, it was love at first sight. Life is NOT FAIR!!!

Well, the raccoons decimated our chickie flock so we now only have ONE white leghorn left alive. She has abandoned the chickie house for sleeping, she now sleeps in the big cedar tree right by our outside pen. Some times in the morning she makes a mistake and lands in OUR pen so Momsie has to run out and catch her quick before I do.
Well, suddenly she has decided to land in Jonesey's pen... that silly excuse of a dog doesn't even chase her, in fact, he even invited her into the inside pen. Tonight Momsie was out there taking photos of her and Jones... did she take MY photo???? NOPE, she did NOT! It's okay, Dogster wouldn't let her put Jonesey's chickie photos on his page, ooohh, so sorry!
Jones doesn't even appreciate what he has there, he apparently doesn't realize that chickie tastes sooo good. Actually, he DID eat the egg she layed the other day. Hmmmm, you don't suppose he has realized he could eat lots of chickie all at once OR he could eat an egg a day forever and ever. Maybe he is smarter than I am giving him credit for! I did notice he took his fleece blankie outside and made a nice nest for her to lay her eggs in.
In sadder news, our weekend camping trip had to be cancelled. Last Saturday four of Skye's good friends got in a terrible car accident and three of them got killed. Skye would have been with them but she had to work for Mom the next morning so she had just gone home. They weren't drinking or using drugs AND they had their seatbelts on, BUT they were speeding.
Because the services for them will be this weekend Mom cancelled our trip and she and Skye made a new date for Labor Day weekend. I think it's better because we can stay for THREE nights instead of two since that is a holiday weekend.

Diary pick of the day, whoopee!

Hmmm, Momsie said I was a diary pick today. That's neat, too bad no one can leave comments on my diary!
In just two days we are heading off to get my new sister, Angie. I am pretty excited, the old house has been fairly quiet lately, especially with Quincy gone! Emmy the kitten adds a little spice to our life now and again but we pretty much ignore her, BOL! She is, after all, a CAT and we are Dogs!
Speaking of Spice, a nasty raccoon came along the past few weeks and killed ALL of our chickies except the two white ones. They are now surviving since they decided to sleep in the trees instead of in the chickie house where they would be sitting ducks, so to speak.
Mom was REALLY angry about the raccoon... first she plugged all the holes in the fence and closed them in so they couldn't range all thru the fields and our lab pen. The raccoons just climbed the six foot fence, grabbed a chickie and climbed back over the fence, leaving chickie feathers all up the fence.
Next she got three different kinds of smelly stuff guaranteed to repel animals like dogs and raccoons... frankly, they smelled pretty good to us dogs and apparently the raccoons liked them, too.
After that, she tried a BIG plastic owl with flashing eyes, supposed to scare them, I guess. Didn't scare them! Didn't scare us, either.
Finally, with only four left she got a big, expensive motion sensing floodlight. It had two bulbs, once she aimed at the fence and the other she aimed at the dog room window, thinking we would all wake up with the light coming on and bark and scare the raccoons away... didn't work, either. I am innocent about the waking up part...I sleep in Mom's room at the other end of the house so I didn't see the floodlight if it even came on. Besides, one morning Momsie got up and scared the raccoon away herself...it was about 5 am and daylight so the motion sensing light did not go on at all. BOOO!
Now, she is just letting the last two sleep in the trees. There is a small issue, however. One of them lost quite a few feathers to a visiting lab puppy the other day so she now can't glide very well and ends up in OUR pen every morning. Mom has been rushing out in her nightie and bare feet and putting her back in their pen. We have been helping Mom corral her, hehehe!
This morning it was pouring rain and thundering and lightening when she let us out so she left her in OUR pen and headed off to work. Hopefully she will find the chickie still alive when she gets home... we're not telling!!!!
I will say that yesterday when she got home the chickie had managed to get OVER the fence and back into our pen and we didn't even chase her around. They have SHARP beaks, you know!

CAMPING!!!!

Whoopeee, Skye just told me we are going camping in a few weeks. I cannot wait!!! As you probably know, I love camping best and kayaking second best. Camping wins because we can go kayaking whilst we are camping, BOL!
We are going to the usual Pillsbury ST. Park, but unlike years past this year we were unable to get our usual site and therefore have to try a different one. Mom was a skeptic about the one we chose but Skye and I remember it and it is fine and dandy!
Problem is, we are getting ME a baby sister next weekend and that means she will be going camping with us. I can't imagine sleeping with a little brat puppy, probably not even a housebroken brat puppy. Hope Mom brings a crate!!!
BTW, Beanie is being impossible lately, ever since he found out that Angie, MY new puppy, is related to him. Seems Angie's grandpa Chaz is Beanie's Uncle so that means that Angie's great grandma is Beanie's great great grandmomma. Phew, did you follow that one????
I didn't wanna upset Beanie's applecart but I would like to point out to all of you that MY great grandpop is also Angie's great grandpop... so how do you think that Beanie boy will like that one???
At any rate, I am sure Angie will choose to sleep with me and Skye and
Beanie will be stuck with Momsie, who may even roll over on him, BOL,BOL!
Well, gotta go now, it is almost time for Mom to come home from work and we might do something fun tonight. Ahhhh, nope, guess not, I just realized it is 90 degrees outside right now...UGLY!!!
