Arrival Story:
We brought Teddy home from his breeder on August 3rd, 2013, at approximately 8 weeks old. He was bred by April and Todd Clyde of Longvue Airedales located in Selbyville, Delaware. We traveled a long, long way to pick up Teddy - we live in a town called Altamont near Albany, New York. With traffic, our ride to the breeder was about 6 hours, and our ride back took around 8 hours! Teddy was a champ - he never went to the bathroom in the car, and only went two or three times at rest stops during the whole way home. At the breeder, we had first choice in what puppy we wanted to pick. We looked very closely at the puppies' temperaments - we DID NOT want an alpha puppy! We wanted a more laid back terrier (if there is such a thing!) who would respond well to training. Teddy is exactly that. He is super smart, loves to sleep and lounge, but is also still very playful!
