Well, it's been two months since Buddy joined our pack. It sometimes feels like he has always been there the way that he seems to fit in; perfectly. I asked the shelter today if they had a picture of Buddy from when he was a pup since they had him so long, I got one but it wasn't so long ago. I will post it later.

Buddy has been doing well. We have been working on training now since the two pups seem to be quite unruly. I have a clicker that I have been using and when I call for them and they come, I click it and then give them a treat. Before this, everyone used to get treats just because but now, they have to earn them for awhile. Tooten & Rusty are less than enthusiastic about the training. Buddy is very food aggressive so we really have to work on that while we are doing this too. He has lashed out at Tooten a few times but has not done any harm. I just do not want it to ever come to that so we have to nip it in the bud now! It is amusing to watch though because on separate occasions, I will say" Cooper, come!" and before Cooper comes, Buddy shows up, looking for a treat so I think it's working in some way. Soon, the treats will be taken away and we will give praise, then the clicker will be gone eventually and come will work, i hope. So far, so good.

No blood in the urine last night again so that's four days in a row. That is the strangest thing, it comes and goes. Last time it came back, I think he had a large passing of tissue so, I am hoping that's just not building up. I wish we could determine the cause of that. Maybe someday when the incontinence is gone.

Anyway, have a really funny story but It involves Cooper so I will post it on his page since not much action occurs there.

The sooner you start training the better. Buddy may not like other dogs around his food from his past. Clicker training him to "look" at you on command will help break the chain of events. No blood so far! :):) Whooo hooo! Keeping the prayers coming for Buddy!
