Arrival Story:
Hello, my name is Rocket. I am also sometimes called Rocketman because of my energy and non stop wiggle butt action. I was adopted from the Alexandria animal shelter in Virginia on 2 March 2005. I was a little underweight for my age, but my mom has taking care of that. My prior owners gave me up for reasons I have no idea, but my new family made me feel right at home. I have an older Rottie sister to play with, even though I annoy her sometimes and she puts me in my place, we get along great. I even have this cat sister who always wants to groom me, and I am learning to like it. I used to have a couple of manner issues that needed to be corrected but since I have been in obediance training which I LOVE, I have blossemed into my full potential as to what a loyal, dedicated Rottweiler should be and I am told I am a good ambassador of the breed. Plus all the girl dogs like me in my classes. Mom is hoping that maybe oneday we can be good candidates for therapy work. We will see.......I have had a little abuse in my past, but no more. It is all love and belly scratches now.
Bio:
Mom wanted me to let everyone know that I am Canine Good Citizen certified. I have no idea what that means but mommy says I am a good boy and I do a good job at obeying orders...but then when you have a treat in front of you, you will do all those neat tricks also.

Rocket was diagnosed with this deadly aggressive cancer New Years weekend. He passed within a couple weeks. This thing struck h hard and fast that it is still a shock to know I lost him so quickly. My loveable, energetic, boy left me on 9 January 2009. He is now with Mia over the bridge and in no more pain. You will always be my big mama's boy.
