Freckles, mom heard this guy shake and he does rattle! I, of course, was in the house while this was happening. He shook right before mom took this picture, I guess he wanted to get his quills all aligned. They do not shed their quills, you have come into direct contact with the quills. Angel Abby found out they can really swing their tails and she got nailed by the tail of a porcupine and needed to be rushed to the emergency vet and she had surgery the next morning.
Finley, mom didn't get close enough to smell it, but she doesn't think it smells like bacon!
