new diet, summer is on it's way

Summer is on it's way! My new diet is going well! I love eating raw! I've slimmed down a little too and mom says it's time to buy a new harness! I'm scared, I may lose my nickname Big Fatty! I loved that name. I went to the park this morning and it was a blast! I rolled around and got so dirty!

My sisters are always taking up to much space on my mommy's lap! This is so not fair! I love my sisters! I want mommy time, so I begged them to give me sometime today and they agreed. I had to give up ALL my bones for one day but it's worth it!

Take from Shane's site! Shane's wish

Shane Bernier is a courageous seven-year-old boy from Lancaster, Ontario who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia when he was only five. On June 6th, 2006 Shane and his family received some unfortunate news: Shane experienced a relapse after completing 108 of 130 weeks of treatment.

However, despite the bad news, Shane has managed to keep a positive outlook on his situation and has made a heart-warming wish... He hasn’t asked for money or toys or anything of the sort. Instead, his birthday is on May 30th and he would like to break the world record for the most birthday cards ever received. His goal is 350 million cards. With every card, Shane’s courage grows. Something as simple as sending a birthday card could be enough to help Shane find peace and joy in his current circumstances.

Please take the time to send a card to Shane and make his dream become a reality. Share his story with your friends, family and co-workers. If at all possible, get your youth groups, church congregations, employees, neighbours or communities to set aside a few minutes to write a thoughtful note to Shane.

With every card, Shane’s smile grows...

oh with this recall going on....mom is scared to feed us even solid gold so we are getting home cooked meals. this is yummy to our tummy!

we are such lucky dachshunds!

my valentine

I have a Valentine, his name is Buddy! He is so sweet and handsome! I'm so happy and i'm on cloud 9! I told, my daddy all about him. My daddy, thinks he is gentleman! I'm so excited, because my sisters even approve of him! You know, sisters have to take up for you and they are perfect for asking for advice!

My mommy's birthday is 2/11/07! We decided to put our money together and get our mommy the best birthday present ever! We just need to ask our daddy to buy it. I heard some news the other day, I'm due for my rabies shot! I don't think that is fair, but my mommy said, it will be a 3 year rabies shot and I won't have to deal with that for another 3 years! Good!

I turned 3 on November 24th. It was a good birthday! See I'm a special pup to my mommy. Well, we are all special! However, I was born on the exact day her grandmother died. I remind her a lot of her grandmother. Mom, says this is a good thing! I'm always stubborn and refuse to leave her alone when she is sad, happy etc.

Let's see what did I receive, I received several squeaky toys! I can't even count. However, my favorite one was a taxi cab! I had turkey meat loaf and this amazing apple desert. Finally mom, joined a group to learn how to cook for us doxies. It's so yummy to our tummy's!

i have a new squeak toy!

Since I get anxious when I go to parties and out in the public I had to stay home while my sisters have fun! But it was worth it because mommy brought me home a squeaky toy and it was the best thing in the world. It was bigger than me, which is why I think I liked it so much. It was this huge football and I played with it almost all night, until my mommy said Liberty, it's time for bed!

My mommy thought I was so funny when I brought it to bed with me. But I was so excited to have a new toy. My sisters said I'm crazy! But when it comes to squeakers I can't help but to get so excited. Gemini is like this with tennis balls!

My sisters won 3rd place because some humans dressed up and won the contest, to think their dog wasn't even dressed up! That was unfair! But my mommy told them it was predetermined, she had heard rumors about that store.

Oh well, 3rd place is the best, I told Gemini and Roxie because YOU SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST! :)

that sandwhich is moms

I think my doxie nose got the best of me. You know how it works, your mommy is sitting down eating and it smells so good. So you convince your sister to go into the other room and make a ruckus so you can plot to steal the sandwhich.

It all happened like this: Mom was eating this yummy sandwhich, that Gemini, Roxie and my doxie mouths were drooling over. Gemini asked Roxie to go with her into the other room. I was supposed to stand gaurd watching the sandwhich. Roxie starts barking and than Gemini barks. This is all part of the plan.

Mom will get up and see why they are barking and what they are barking at. As she goes into the other room, I'm supposed to jump up on the table and get the sandwhich. Once I do this I'm supposed to run in the other room and start barking for my sisters to run in their with me. We are going to share this yummy sandwhich.

Well, as soon as mom goes to check on my sisters. I jump on the table. I couldn't help myself but I bark! On the table and while I'm chowing down on this yummy human sandwhich. Mom runs into the kitchen and says Liberty! you are a bad doxie. My sisters are now looking at me with disappointment and anger. After all we were supposed to share this yummy sandwhich.

I quickly jump down to try to pretend, I was innocent and it was all a misunderstanding. Except one thing, the sandwhich is 90 percent gone and it looks like a dog has taken a bite or two. My sisters are now giving me the evil eye and mom is saying some not so nice things.

I hear, that my sisters are going to get their treats! I get so excited because I think I'm going to get one. Except she looks at me and says "Liberty had her treat! So you two can have a flossie."

I declare this is so unfair. But, it was all worth it in the end...b/c my tummy is filled with a yummy sandwhich!

you need to lose weight

My mommy told me today I need to be on a diet. A diet, that is only a human word. Dachshunds don't understand the diet word. She said I only need to lose 1 1/2 pounds. However, I love food! Food = paradise for dachshunds. My sisters don't need to lose weight, only me. So I say, I'm taking a hike down the road to another home.

I have to admit, I have a wonderful home. I don't like being told I have to be on a diet b/c I love food and I refuse to go on one. I will eat food no matter what, my mommy says I can still eat. However, I have to cut down the food intake. That is doggy doo doo. I don't need to cut down my food intake.

Sneak me bones, sneak me treats. no one will know.
