Life at the H Bar M

Well, today I shut down my Chipmunk Ranch for the year. Mom and Dad shut down their cabin, too. I will have to make do with the local squirrels down here, but I will miss my Chipmunk herd!!

I saw two deer while we were walking, but I wasn't allowed to chase them! What a drag pawrents can be! A moose walked by the cabin, but I was eating and only Mom and Dad saw him. They said he is a big bull and they hope he survives the hunting season.

I hope none of those hunters comes after my chipmunks. They have my brand on them!

Well, I'm down in town at home for a nap, so life is still good in Cosmorado!

Life is good in Cosmorado

I am happily settled into my new home. I love it! I have a nice big yard and a big front window to keep my eyes on the squirrel population. We play fetch every morning. I love to bring the ball back and tease Mom with it and then run off and drop it somewhere. Mom has had several discussions with me on the meaning of the word "retriever." But my way is more fun!

I've been to the mountain cabin twice, where I have my very own Chipmunk Ranch. Since my full name is Haley Marie, the Ranch is officially the H Bar M! It's a big job keeping track of my herd, but my unskilled helper, Mom, helps out by feeding sunflower seeds.

I'm a busy girl, with my ranch, my backyard and walkies to keep Mom in shape, but life is good here in Cosmorado!
