I was born on Mother's day and my mommy sent me home with my human mommy to my new furever home on July 6th 2012 as a "father's day gift" for my momma.
I didn't get to meet all of my new family until momma, my fur mommy-Princess Trudy-Ann and my human brothers got back from a road trip.
It was a little overwhelming at first. My fur-daddy Oliver the cat, had been taking care of me, and had told me about my fur-mommy Princess Trudy-Ann but it was so different to meet her in person. She wasn't sure she like me, especially since she hadn't asked for a baby but Oliver helped her adjust to me and pretty soon we were all on big happy family.
My fur daddy teaches me how to swat things, climb things and open crate doors, as well as pounce on slippers which is my favorite thing to do. I stalk 'em, capture them and carry them off to my stash. My fur mommy teaches me where piddle, and poo and checks to make sure I am all clean, and she plays with me rolling a tumbling around, then she tucks me in at night.
My fur daddy doesn't go to sleep until he is sure I am ok then we all curl up near to each other and sleep.
Which reminds me, this was long, I need a nap.
YAWN!!! woof later.

Glad you are adjusting to your new life. But I'd be careful with Oliver. I've heard kitties can be sneaky.
