On April 27, 1997, a beautiful angel was born. In August of that year, he picked me to be his Mom. From that day forward he was a part of me, part of my soul, part of my heart, my life. Known as Taz {The Angel Dog} to myself and anyone who knew him, he gave every bit of energy and love he had to others. He taught me how to be a human being, how to love again. He gave me so many gifts; there are too many to mention. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. Even the ones that thought he was a pain in the ass couldn't resist that little face of his and those big soulful eyes.
On May 13, 2010, after a year long battle with many problems, he told me he was ready. He was tired and he knew if he went and got his real angel wings that he could still watch over me and that I would be okay too. He was such a trooper during this past year. All the tests, poking and prodding, all the contraptions he was made to wear. He never complained. I didn't know if I would have the courage and strength to give him that last final gift of letting him go. But when I saw the look in his eyes that morning, I knew. He gave me the courage to do what needed to be done. In his last moments, he let out one of his big sighs and he smiled to let me know he was okay now. He could finally sleep and graduate to go get his magnificent final glorious wings.
I'm struggling with his loss. The pain is sometimes unbearable. But he is watching over me and giving me signs that I will be okay. He was all about life, enjoying life and experiencing every single moment to it's utter complete joy. I only hope that I can honor him and carry on the way that he taught me to live...fully and with a smile on my face.
Rest my sweet Angel. Run as fast as you can. Eat all the carrots you want. Tear up your toys now...no one's going to throw them away because you've mutilated them. Mitzi and Dancer, I'm sure, are joyful to have you with them. Give them each one of those special Taz kisses that you always saved just for me. You'll always be my Angel Dog...Forever. Love you Forever.

Long time, no bark. Hope all the Dogter Doggies are doing well.
I'm doing just fine. I turned 10 years young in April. Whoo hoo!
Mom is still as ditzy as always. She was trying to put this fountain together yesterday. Well, first she tried to screw the solar panel on backwards. Then when the fountain didn't work, she realized that she hadn't put the plug all the way in the jug. Ha...ha...ha... Poor Mom. She does need me around to keep her straight.
Mom and I are about to head out for a walkie, so I'll keep this short. We haven't been on many walkies lately because Mom sprained her foot.

Taz {The Angel Dog}

Hey there Dogster pals! Hope you all are doing well!
It finally happened - I'm cone-free!!!! Yay!!!! Mom says my stitches are healing well and I've been a good boy about not licking at them. And tomorrow, I get to have some of my old food! You know what that means...treats are next! Oh yeah, Man! Love them treats! Mom says I should be able to go back to daycare starting in July! Yay! I miss my little black schnauzer pal there.
Mom's been busy on the home front planting flowers and stuff. I supervised. It's kind of nice sitting out there and enjoying the flowers with Mom, but I just don't know what to do about all these darn C-A-T-S! They keep invading my space and what's worse, they seem to be multiplying in numbers! I tell ya' - what's a dog to do?
Well, that's about all I had to bark about. You all take care now!
Wuf,
Taz {The Angel Dog!}

Happy Memorial Day! Prayers go out to all those doggies who are missing their daddies or mommies today. Licks and stuff...
Sorry I haven't written in awhile. I had a bit of a mishap. I swallowed a piece of bark and they had to open my belly to get it out 'cause it got stuck. Ooops! Anyway, as you can see...I'm back to my spunky Schippy self - minus a bit of fur. I'm getting lots of belly rubs these days though.
And Spring has arrived in California! Yay! Mom did all the garden and patio work and now I get to be outside and enjoy it all. Ah....sunspots galore!
Hope all dogs are well! Later!

Whoo Hoo! I had a romping good time too!
I got to spend the day at daycare and play with all the other doggies and 2-leggers. I've already got them wrapped around my little paw. I spent part of the morning sitting in one of the 2-legger's laps getting a belly rub. Hee...hee...! I got lots of treats and stuff too.
Then when Mom and I got home, we had a birthday party. She sang to me and everything! She did make me put on this silly looking hat...whatever. If you want to see pics of me at my party, go to this link:

Well, I'm beat so I'm headed for a snooze (or two). Catch you all later!

Well, I graduate training class tomorrow night. Mom says I'm doing GGGRRRREEEAATTT! I even got invited back onto the bed last night! Whoo Hoo! It's been a fun six weeks and I've learned lots of new stuff. Mom says that she's very proud of me. And in another six weeks, I'm going to start the Graduate class. It's a bit harder but Mom says I'm up to it - especially if we have six weeks of practicing the new stuff I've already learned first.
Other news...this is really COOL!! I'm going to Doggie Daycare now one day a week. At first I wasn't too sure about it with all those other doggies and people (and Mom not being there). But the second time I went, I was playing with the other doggies and having a blast. It's helping me not be so shy around other doggies and stuff. And another cool thing...they're putting up a webcam in the Daycare soon so Mom can watch me from work.
It's still raining here but when it's not, I get to go to the dog park when Mom comes home from work. It's really close to home (walking distance) and we're really happy they opened this new park.
Anyway, hope every dog and human has a Tazriffic Easter!

Taz {The Angel Dog}

Well, Mom has had me busy in training lately. Lots of new stuff to learn. And they say you can't teach an old dogs new tricks! Ha! I'm showing those young pups how it's done!
We're still waiting for Spring to arrive. Way too much rain (and you know how I feel about getting wet). I'm counting the moons until I can sit outside with Mom and work in the garden. Ah, the life!
I just learned today that my favorite dog park is opening back up after some turf refurbishment. You know what that means! Dog park this weekend! Yahoo!!! We also got a new dog park just opened a few weeks ago that is right close to home.
So, as you can tell...with all the stuff I'm learning and all the frolicking at the park I'm getting...not counting all the yummy treats I get for training...I'm one happy Taz Man!
Hope everyone is just as happy as me!

Haven't barked in quite awhile. Well, not much happening. At this stage in my life, I'm content to cuddle with Mom, get belly rubs and lots of good eatin'.
Mom finally wrapped my pressies last night for under the tree. One of them smells SOOOO good, but Mom says I have to wait. She told me that I've been such a good Angel Dog all year, that Santa Paws is going to come and fill my stocking to the brim! Whoo Hoo! We don't have a chimney, but Mom is leaving a special key outside just for Santa Paws.
I'm off to work with Mom today. In case I don't bark with you before Christmas, I wish all of my pals a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The best to you in 2006! Lots of belly rubs and treats, and most of all - I wish for all doggies to have a warm, safe, happy home - happiness and health to us all!
Your pal,
Taz {The Angel Dog}

Mom says I have a big surprise for Christmas since I've been such a good doggie all year. I just can't figure out what it will be. I hate waiting for surprises, but Mom says I have to be patient. Maybe it's a big bone...Mmmmm.
I've been having lots of fun with Mom lately. I helped her decorate for Christmas and helped her wrap packages. Well, I tried to put my toys in all the wrapping boxes. Just trying to be a good dog and share!
I sure hope all you doggies are being good. Don't want any coal in that stocking!
Your pal,
Taz
