Arrival Story:
The breeder who sold us Amqui had to move away and had 12 newborn pups to look after as well as 2 apricot 6 month old and 1 black 11 month old poodles. She calledme to offer Oslo to us as we had kept in contact ever since we had Amqui. She new he had a good home and wanted Oslo to benefit from it too. So my husband took a 6 hour trip with Amqui to pick up Oslo. Unfortunately he was the runt of the litter and the other adult dogs did not accept him in the pack. The breeder had little time to get her things together and move 300 miles away, so her older dogs were a little neglected due to lack of time. She was alone to do everything

Bio:
Oslo is the best dog I ever owned. He measures 25 inches high and weighs 58 lbs. He is quick tounderstand commands, and we rarely haveto repeat them twice. Upon entering the house he sits on the rubber mat, raises his head as to say..I'm a good boy so wipe my paws and give me my treat. He is so affectionate that we get tired of petting him. He will then put his nose and rest of head under our arm and raise it meaning..don't stop.He has never damaged furniture, clothings etc, unlike his half brother. He is a lady's dog.I took Oslo in and he was in a bad shape. The vet told us he had a malformation in one hip,so he couldn't run nor jump.We gave him care affection and he soon regained his health.Oslo was adopted by a retired couple who took in a fosteer child in March. A friend sent her standdard poodle to keep the 12 yr old company and the foster parents realied that she told the dog secrets. as they had to return the dog back to his owner, they began their quest for a standard poodle and found Oslo on an ad website. Oslo would never approach men,but to my amazment, while walking in the park,Oslo got closer and closer to the man, and when he took the leash from my hand, Oslo just looked up at him with loving eyes. He got in the van with all of his belongs and sat on the 3rd row seats and they left with himand he never looked back.Oslo was destined to be a therapy dog and our role was to bring hom back to health. Last time I heard from the young girl, she said she had a nightmare and when she woke up,Oslo was standing beside herr bed. Knowing Oslo, he probably nudge her to wake her up. He would nudge Amqui when he had nightmares. I knew all along he was a special dog. I'm still greiving him, so many reminders and memories in the house, but I knew I had to let him go do his job.Amqui stopped eating for a few days but beforee returning to his normal self, he had lost 10 lbs. I love you baby boy.
