Arrival Story:
Venus came from the same breeder as our beloved Rainy and is Rainy's half-sister (same daddy). When Rainy was diagnosed with cancer at such a young age, her breeder very kindly offered to give us another pyr when we were ready. After losing Rainy and then Mosey in such a short timeframe, our hearts needed a new pyr girl in the family to love to help us heal. So I reached out to Venus's breeder and met Venus - it was love at first sight. She needed us as much as we needed her and she joined our family on 5/4/12. I like to think that Mosey and Rainy would be pleased. :)

Bio:
Venus didn't make it as a show dog and has lived most of her almost 4 years so far in a kennel environment. She was adopted out to a family when she was younger but they returned her after 3 weeks when they said she was destructive when left in the house alone (they refused to crate her). Venus is extremely sweet and people-oriented but needed to learn all about living in a house and was quite anxious when she arrived. After 4 months with us, she's settled in and realized the world's not such a scary place and we're not going to abandon her and she's blossomed into a happy, fun-loving girl!
