Arrival Story:
Captain Bootsie Bear is named after our original Captain Bootsie Bear, who we unfortunately had to send to Puli Heaven after 17 years with much love and sadness, he had heart and renal problems which could not be reversed. I was very upset and produced a video about him, with all the love he had shown us for all those years. I still cry when I think about him and friends said they have to invest in Kleenex to watch the video. With great fortune a Puli breeder saw my video on YouTube and decided to write me. She said "You cannot be without a Captain Bootsie!". Captain Bootsie is really a re-incarnation not only of Captain Bootsie, but also carries many personality traits of the two brothers and sister of Captain Bootsie, who unfortunatley after 17&1/2 years followed their brother. Our new Captain Bootsie, is our light, our joy, and everyday when we look at him I see all my four kids. He has taken into his family two abandoned cats that he considers bother and sister and looks after then with loving eyes and will protect them to the death. Puli? Not really not a dog, but a PULI with a big heart!

Forums Motto:

There is a saying: "A Puli is not a dog!" Recent research has indicated that Pulis do not share the same DNA as most dogs. Therefore, Pulis are special. And they are!

Hi All my Dogster Buddies!

This is really...really important! My sister Ranya and I want to pass this along.

As you're all aware, Our sites both Dogster and Catster are shutting down. Well, my mom didn't take this lying down!

She didn't think it right that all our duds and dudettes should be scattered to the 4 winds, After all lots of love. memories and friendships have been built up over the years.

She and my cat bro, Commander Sir Snowy, went searching for a place where we could all be together and not join some existing site where we have to play by their rules. They've been smokin!

Well, she opened a site called "Furry Families" at

It not even 2 weeks old, but there's lots of our buddies over there. The site is combined so our kitties and puppies can play together.

It's still developing and it's a community effort, and the best thing is that no corporate exec can shut us down because we're no longer needed. It's ours!

Check out the site and Pass the Word Along! We really have a home where we can continue as a family.

Hope all of my duds and dudettes come over! Again PASS THE WORD ALONG!

A big Woof to all of you!
Captain Bootsie Bear! can always reach me, mom and Sir Snowy at

Dear Diary,

I'm writing for HRH Princess Ranya and myself. She's so upset and really...really angry. Don't want to let that spitfire get started, so she agreed that I should speak for both of us.

We were shocked at the short notice that was given to all the loyal memberS of the Dogster and Catster community by the powers that be at Catster and Dogster. Many of you have you have been here since the beginning and have a lot of memories here.

Needless to say, that made my mom mad...really really mad. She's written to SayMedia, offering them a proposal but has not received a reply. In fact she doesn't expect one.

Well, she along with my really kool cat bro Commander Sir Snowy, have been working day and night to keep all our communities together.

She's found a way, and no one can again tell us, the heart and soul of these communities, that we're not as important as what the figures read at the bottom of a financial statement.

I'm going to repeat Sir Snowy's message for those of you who didn't get it. It's important if you want to keep together the community you've built up with love, affection, memories, and friendship through good times and bad times.

Great news! My mom has found both Catsters and Dogsters a way to go.

She didn't get any response from SayMedia, and to be quite frank doesn't expect one, so she's been searching and this is purrrfect and woofffect.

The site is ning. Will give you a link at end of this paw-mail. She was talking with her PR friend in the US this morning and told him what happened. He said this would be great as everyone who joins the site has their own page to do what they want, also we control what we want to have in our community. We can have everything we had and maybe more. So contests and whatever can go on as before. We just have to decide what we want on the main page of our site(s) and in what order.

Now, she needs to know who would be willing to join this site once she sets it up.

Does anyone know how many of us cool cats or dogs are part of Catster or Dogster? Is it a combined total of 100,000 or 100,000 for each, as she has to pay a monthly fee, but if everyone pulls together to contribute maybe a buck a piece for a year in advance we could pay it that way.

We can do our own thing and not have to worry about the behind the scene mechanics! And no corporations telling us we're not profitable..... so out!

Really need you to pass the word....she's trying like heck and found a light at the end of the tunnel. I know it's hard for some to start over, but if anyone needs help gettin' their stuff recovered from Catster or Dogster or putting it up on the new site, she'll help.. of course with my help as well.

Where there's a will there's always a way!

When the chips are down the tough get going.....or when all looks bad, just pull up your paws and go forward with a smile.

Oh Gosh....aren't I witty today? Just joking!

Dear Diary,

Capt Boo here. The weather has been crazy in Italy. Not only hot and cold, but earthquakes! Can you believe? Thank goodness where I live we've been we thought.

To give you a little background....

My mom and I usually take a nice 6km walk up to a little place called Dangri. It's really the end of the road or the end of the civilised world..after that it's all on foot or by helicopter. There are beautiful waterfalls there and many enjoy the sport of Canyoning. What is Canyoning? It's when crazy humans climb or take a helicopter to the top of a waterfall, then jump down! Now, I like water...but...

To get to Dangri...there's a sort of a mountain road. Mainly just rock and earth, but in certain parts they tried to put concrete. It's not very stable, because underneath is only the mountain. Now in Danrgi they have felt the aftershocks of the earthquakes(believe me that's a long way!), so everything was rocking and rolling. We didn't know that. Soooo...on Thursday, we set off for our usual walk there.

Now my mom usually lets me run free, but for some reason..she decided to leave me on leash through certain parts,(Hmmmm..maybe she has inherited our extra sense) 'cause I always like to walk on the edge and it's a staight drop down the mountain. There's no guardrails or protection from falling over the cliffs.

I guess it's a good thing she did, because she took a step and the road collapsed and my mom began sliding down the steep side of the mountain. When she realised what was happening she pushed me to solid ground.

Did I panic? NO.. no....NO! I'm Captain Bootsie Bear and a Puli! I grabbed the leash, wrapped it around my mouth and muzzle, like I usually do when I'm taking her for a walk and began pulling her ever so slowly back up the mountain. What a relief it was seeing her face. I was so happy! She was a little worse for wear. She suffered some broken ribs, sprained wrist and hand, and her knee looked like something out of a meat grinder. There was all that red stuff around. Before she did anything for herself she gave me great big kisses and hugs.

We found a small waterfall and she did what she could for her knee, but what surprised me the most was that she decided we should keep going until we reached Dangri. My mom's a tough ole' bird, never gives up. She talked to me all the way there, saying what a good kid I was and how much she loved me. Well, I know how much she loves me and the feeling is mutual. We have lots of little talks when we're out walking.

When we got to Dangri, she got some help for her knee from our friend who has a little restaurant there and a special treat for me!

I was the hero of the day!

So word to the wise...when you're out for a walk with your humans..look out for them as they look out for us.

Captain Bootise Bear signing out!

Ps. She wants to go to Dangri again on Sunday. Oh Boy! I'm going to keep a very watchful eye on her!

Bye..bye for now! I'll let you know how our Sunday walk went!
