Well, since I have gone blind and I can only see things when I am on top of them I have adjusted very well. I am still and very happy, loving guy. In the begining I would walk on the side of Mommmy, Daddy or Sissy leg to guide me, but now I have learned my way around (Mommy says she thinks I count steps from one thing to the other).
Now when someone opens the door at our home I am out and straight to the Hummer. I love to go for rides, but during the summer time we do not go as much because of the heat. Fall is coming and we cannot wait, that means when it cools down we will get to spend more time outside, visiting our neighbors the cows and calfs.

I can't hear anymore so I kinda know how you feel, glad you are adjusting though
Not being able to see makes me funnier. Though I miss my sight I do some things that makes my family laugh and that makes me feel good. They know I am okay with them laughing because I wag my tail to show approval.
My Mommy has over 20 years experience working with animals, mainly dogs and she has worked with deaf and/or blind dogs for over 12 years. But when we loose one of our senses, it make the others keener/stronger to help us adjust.
