My Birthday EXTRAVAGA!!!!

Come One, Come All...
This weekend was my Birthday and we had a Circus Birthday Party!
My 'Auntie' Amanda, 'Grandmeme', 'Grandpopo', 'Great Grandma', and 'Mommie' all came, 'Daddie' couldnt make it because he had to work this weekend in Philly, but he's gonna take me to do something special when he gets home. I got so many presents and we had cake and hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, and popcorn. We played carnival games and got prizes, we did a photo booth and had such a wonderful time!!! Im gonna post pictures as soon as I get them all together! 'Mommie' was sad because she couldn't believe I have turned 4, but Im still her baby.

IT'S CARNIVAL!!!!! The Mystic Krewe of Barkus Rides Again!

Yappy Mardi Gras Ya'll! We are having so much fun during carnival...eating king cake, throwing and catching beads, wearing funny costumes, and just generally acting like fools! My Krewe of Barkus rode again this year with the theme TAILS N TIARAS: HONEY BOW WOW! 'Mommie', 'Auntie' Amanda, 'Grandmeme', and 'Grandpopo' were in it with me and we dressed up like rednecks and did a redneck toddlers and tiaras theme complete with beer can rollers in our hair. The pictures I have put up are from the last 4 years of my participating in the Mystic Krewe of Barkus! 2010: Barkus Goes Tailgating: The Dogs Go Barking In (the day the Saints won the Superbowl) 2011: A Broadway Tail: Barkus Brings Down the House (I went as Ga-linda from Wicked) 2012: Mission Impossible-Canine Protocol: Armstrong Bark Reload (I went as a Milkshake because the idea was for us all to be incognito) and 2013: Tails n Tiaras: Here Comes Honey Bow Wow. We have had such a wonderful four years and we can't wait til the next one...If anyone reading this has any interest in coming out next year it will be on February 23, 2014, the event raises money for animal shelters in the New Orleans area and to raise pet/animal need awarness. Such a great time and a great cause.

A Yappy 2013!!!

YAPPY NEW YEAR, 2013!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful New Year so far! 'Mommie', 'Grandmeme', 'Grandpopo', and I certainly have and boy did we ring it in right! We spent our New Year in downtown New Orleans where we looked at the Christmas lights that were still up at the Roosevelt Hotel! We ate on Magazine Street and we put our party hats on and celebrated all night! 'Mommie' kept blowing the blowers though and I was not fond of that so I tried to bite them! haha
Now 'Mommie' and I are getting ready to move into our new apartment and I'm gonna get my very own room! I can't wait! We will be moving in at the end of this week so stay tuned for updates on my decorations!

The Hap Hap Happiest Christmas!

What a wonderful time of year indeed, we had the very best Christmas! 'Mommie', 'Grandmeme', 'Grandpopo', and my 'Great Grandma' came over and we opened gift after gift (most of them from me) and we got sooooo many wonderful things! 'Daddie' couldn't make it in b/c he was working so that made the day a little sad, but he called alot and wished me a Merry Christmas! The one thing I asked Santa Paws for was a La La Loopsy soft doll and I got 2!!!!! The best thing about them is that they were "sewn on" (birthdate)very special days: one on 'Mommie's' and one on 'Auntie' Amanda's birthday! then I got some dresses and p.j's and toys and so on....OH and Santa brought our family an Elf on the Shelf! We are naming her Evangline b/c its a very traditional New Orleans name and it means 'bearer of good news' (of course she is only gonna have good news to give to Santa b/c I'm always good!) I also gave the reindeer carrots and I gave Santa cookies that were shaped like me! Then we ate sooooo much turkey and pie! Then we watched White Christmas and fell asleep! What a great day! We hope you and yours had just as wonderful of a holiday and a very safe new year!

Things Are Getting Back to Normal!!!!

First, I guess I should start off with a sorry that I haven't wrote in a long time... that's 'Mommie's' fault, HaHa. 'Mommie', 'Daddie', and I have moved and during that move 'Mommie' went to New York for 3 1/2 months to help out with work; that is why I (she) haven't wrote in a while. 'Mommie' made it back for Thanksgiving though and we are all very happy she is home and staying here from now on... I missed her very much! We are moving back to downtown New Orleans also so we are very excited about that!!! As soon as 'Mommie' got home we went and saw my 'Auntie' Amanda, 'GrandMawMaw' Cathy and 'GrandPawPaw' Buddy who we haven't seen in a long time. We stayed with them for 3 days and we had so much fun. I really missed them too. Thanksgiving was wonderful, we woke up REALLY early and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade; then we ate so much turkey, dressing, green beans, corn pudding, and PIE we thought our tummy's would explode; then we watched the dog show and the football games and ate some more. In the end we had a great day and we spent it together eating and watching all of our traditional things on t.v. The best part was that we had so much to be thankful for and I hope everyone reading this did too.
Now 'Mommie' and I are trying to get everything ready for Christmas. We've put up lights outside and the tree is up, we have half of our shopping list covered, and all the Christmas cards are done. Woof, we have been busy girls! I'll keep you posted on everything that we do from now on, I promise it wont be as long as it was this time.

It's 'Daddie's Day!'

It was 'Daddie's' day and 'Daddie' and 'Mommie had the weekend off for it so we painted the town blue ('Daddie's' favorite color)! We all went to Disney for the day on Saturday, I went to Pluto's and 'Mommie' and 'Daddie' went to the Magic Kingdom where they ate lunch at the plaza Cafe' and then to EPCOT where 'Mommie' bought a Catherine the bride bear in England (Duchess Catherine of Cambridge) and she said she and I would share her since 'Mommie' and I both love the Royals, except 'Mommie' says I have to look at her and not play with her because shes a collectable... I'll probably play with her when 'Mommie's' not looking, I mean whats the point of a toy you can't play with? After all that we made our way back home and went to bed; we were all pooped! Then on Sunday we all got up and gave 'Daddie' kisses and licks and his present (which we were lucky enough to find a gift bag that had dogs on it and said "Dad, Best in Show", he thought that was funny and we made him coffee and put it in his Wold's Best Dad mug, then we grilled Hot Dogs and Hamburgers, YUM!, and watched Golf the rest of the day, Yuck, 'Mommie' said that we only had to watch what 'Daddie' wants 1 time a year... I'm glad we got that out of the way..., but seriously, we had a great day and we really appreciate 'Daddie'

I also wanted to add a very special Thank You again to all the people that recognized me this week and my diary, we are so appreciative to have such wonderful pup pals and all the gifts and kind words were very touching and sweet!

Disney World...The Happiest Place on Earth!

We just got back from our vacation to Disney World! 'Mommie', 'Daddie',
'Auntie' Amanda, and I went for 8 days! I'm too little and furry to go to the parks, but I do go to Pluto's and hang out with all my friends there! I always have a great time they walk me, feed me, and give me treats; they also take pictures of me to send to 'Mommie' and 'Daddie' while they are at the park! My family said that they had a great time at the parks each night when they picked me up and I could tell that they did because I was always ready to play, but they were dog tired! We are all so sad that our vacation is over, but we are so glad we got to have that time together and we will definitely do it again next year!

Vacation...All I ever wanted!

Tomorrow we are going on vacation to Disney World! 'Mommie','Daddie', and 'Auntie' Amanda are all going and me of course!
I am going to stay at Pluto's for the days and hang out with my buddies there, and the rest of the gang are going to the parks! I am so excited we will be there for a good bit of time, and it will be nice to get away from the rough life of lounging, playing, and being pampered! Im off to bed so that I can get up early for my vacation! Ill write again with details on everything we do!

It's 'Mommie's Day'!

Today was 'Mommie's Day' and I was the perfect little angel for her! 'Mommie' works the night shift at her job so when she got home I knew she would want to go to bed and 'Daddie' and I laid quietly with her until she was asleep and then we got up and cleaned the house, did the dishes, laundry, made her a beautiful card, and made her lunch! The card I made (with 'daddies' help) was on blue cardstock paper and we drew, in red, a union jack flag (b/c 'Mommie's' really into the Royals right now) and instead of "God save the Queen" we put "God save my Mom" we had hearts on it and a crown, she really LOVED it. Then we all "put on the dog" ha ha esp. me who wore a "Mommy's Little Girl" dress for her and we went to the mall and then to dinner! 'Daddie' and I gave 'Mommie' a day at the movies too, she didn't want to go today b/c she wanted to stay with me so they will probably go sometime this week! We had the best day! I love my 'Mommie'!

MY GOLDEN BIRTHDAY PAWTY!

This past week was my Golden Birthday (that's when you turn the age of your birth date! so I was 21 (in dog years) on the 21st!) My 'Grandmeme', 'Grandpopo', and 'Great Grandma" Connie came in from Louisiana to help me celebrate! 'Mommie' and 'Daddie' fixed the house up so nice, there were 21 gold balloons and gold confetti and stars and danglers from the ceiling and ribbon and EVERYTHING! My cake was actually cupcakes and they had a gold wrapper with gold icing and sprinkles! I got sooooo much stuff 'Mommie' and 'Daddie' had 22 presents for me (1 to grow on) and 'Grandmeme' and 'Grandpopo' brought in a whole bunch of goodies for me too! My 'Auntie' Amanda gave me a Chanel and pearl necklace which is soooooo beautiful! We had such a good week with everyone here, and I am so happy to have had the best birthday party ever! Next year we are gonna do a circus theme! CAN'T WAIT! It's good to be three!
