Family reunion

Mommy had told our friends that we can watch thier dogs. One is Tai's sister and the other is mine. Mommy and Chie took SO MANY pictures of us. And then we all had some dinner, had cookies, watched home reno shows and went to bed. Mommy, daddy, me, Tai, Hanna, Achakos (Tai's sister) and Tassy (my sister). Wow, it was a tight squeeze but there was lots of room in the bedroom so we all slept all over the place. This morning, mommy fed us more cookies, banana's and played in the yard and then just chilled out. This is a fun weekend but I hope our sisters go home soon. I am so tired and I want mommy all to myself again. Why does she kiss Achakos and Tassy? I dont get it. I thought she only gives us kids kisses. I saw Achakos and Tassy pass some looks at us like "huh, whose got the attention now..." and then I saw a smirk.

And now the end is near .........

My 15 minutes of fame is coming to an end. Once again, thanks to everyone who told me that I was cute and thanks also for reading about my life. My brother and sister got some wonderful notes too and they are so happy and grateful. Thanks from everyone in the McTavish house. Puppyhood is all good !! I am one happy boy. Good night. WOOF!! Gotta go! Daddy is eating fruit and I must get in there and beg along with Tai and Hanna. WAIT FOR ME!!!!

Being the diary of the day is so special

I am so happy today. I have gotten more emails than I ever did before and so many lovely, cute, wonderful and special dogs wants to be pup pals with us. Thank you everyone for reading my diary. I am just a 7 month old pup with a lot to say.

Mommy took us to the dog park and we played with our regular crew.... Malcom, Murray, Broday, Rosie, Kezia, Freckles, Powder, Jake, Franky, Abby, Abbie, Blue, Bonza, Shadow, Shade, Maxwell, Melody, MoJo, Nemo, Anna, Chilko, Guido, Draven, Gina, Andy, AJ, Ella, Whisper, Dex and thats only the dogs we know thier names of. About 30-40 dogs go to Hume Park every morning and we love it because all of the same dogs always go at the same time. Mommy talks to all of the doggy parents and we stay for about 2 hours a day. We run, play, wrestle, chase squirrels, chase Guido, race, eat grass, rocks, wood and of course when mommy is not looking....poo. We get treats, lots of water and all of us critters have such a good time. All of us play well together and even if Im one of the youngest, no other dog has ever given us a hard time.

Well, we have been home for about an hour and Im just sooo tired. Good night.

yay!!! I am the diary of the day!!!

Hey dogsters! I am the diary of the day and I am so happy. Thank you very much dogster. This is soooo cool. WOOF WOOF and WOOF!

Well, let me start by saying that I am almost 7 months old. I am a Bernese Mountain Dog. I have a sister named Hanna and brother named Tai. My daddy is Jason and mommy is Lisa. A wonderful lady named Chie is our live in dog sitter who takes care of us. I truly am one lucky boy.

I am the youngest in my family and everyone tells me that I act like one. I steal food, attention and treats. I bark more than Hanna and Tai and I get everything I want.

However, I am very sweet, very affectionate and I love people and other dogs. I love to play and run around and wrestle. I love car rides and any kind of food. My favorite food is fresh poop. My mommy HATES that I eat it and she NEVER lets me do it but when she really misses one or two, I eat it.

I am from a litter of 7. Hanna and Tai are not my relatives but they really treated me with so much love and kindness and acceptance. Anyways, when mommy and daddy came to see me, I heard that mommy specifically wanted a girl and daddy didn't want a dog at all. However, daddy saw me and decided that mommy was allowed to chose one.....A BOY. So mommy and daddy picked us all up and looked at our markings, behavior and personalities. They liked my markings and decided to take me home.

Life has been so good. Mommy hand makes her treats, food and feeds us very healthy. She takes us hiking in the morning and then to the dog park. She does this 7 days a week. We also go to the beach, lake and creek. I am learning to swim. Then daddy takes us to downtown, doggy bakeries and to the park as well. When mommy and daddy are at work, Chie plays with us in the yard, brushes our fur and cleans our ears and stuff. Mommy cleans our teeth and cuts our nails.

I am a healthy boy who loves to be sillly. However, I love to please so I am currenly attending obedience class to learn how to effecively communicate with my mommy, daddy and anyone else I need to litsen to. Today was our second class. I think I am the best student in my class but mommy disagrees.

puppy school no. 2

Phew, mommy is so much happier this week. She finally got it right this time!! I didnt pay attention last week because the treats she used for dog class were the same treats as the ones at home. But daddy went and bought special treats so I did better and mommy is happier.

Week no. 1 we did:
sit, bow down, left hand sit, sit and greet, look at me, wait and big left circles

Week no. 2 we did:
review of week no. 1 plus recall, heel , dealing with distractions and hand signals

I want to be a puppy that makes mommy happy BUT she needs to kick it up a notch with the treats!!!

Feeling lonely

I have been so lonely for the past day and a half because I cannot play with Tai and Hanna. I am in stitches and bandages. I feel itchy and scratchy. They went to the lake and I didn't. I am not allowed to play with Tai and Hanna. But I know they feel lonely too because mommy spends all her time with me. Mommy has beenwith me 24/7 feeding me treats, playing with me and cuddling with me. I am lonley but happy to have mommy to myself. She even sleeps with me in the living room while Tai and Hanna get to sleep with daddy on the bed. I guess Im not THAT lonely afterall. I want this to all be over. Today mommy told me that I was going to start obedience classes as soon as my stitches come out.....but why? why do I need to go to school? Im such a good puppy. So I asked Tai and Hanna who said "I don't know....we had to go too".

I am 6 months old today and guess what mommy did?

she took me to the vet to take my man hood away!! NOW, im ball less!!! My 6th toe was also cut off because it was hanging (dew claw) but Im also cured of my umbilical hernia and I have a tatoo in my ear. I feel fine . I had dinner and some water. Im just sleepy and mad because I didn't think this was my 6 month gift.

Sam the Ham

Mommy and Auntie Sakura think that I am Sam the Ham because I just lie there and let anyone do anything they want to me. They dont think I have any bones in my body and that I am flexible. But why complain if someone wants to rub my belly? I just lie there and let them. (wink*)

Rain Rain...yay!!

I love the rain! Mommy took us hiking. We hiked in the rain for one and a half hours and I got all wet and mommy was looking at me like I look sooo cute! She told me that I looked half my size because my fur was all wet. Hanna, Tai and I ran in the mud as mommy just shook her head. We all got so dirty and then she made us swim in this creek to make us clean. So now Im wet, clean and sleepy. Mommy gave us a big cookie each and Im going to bed. Nite nite. Sam
