Why Can't I Lick?

I went to see the doctor today! When I got there I was so excited to see all the other doggies there. I made some new friends! Mom says it's a good thing her heels weren't too high today or I would have pulled her over I was so excited.

But then, mom made me go in this little cage and she left! Why did she leave me there? I couldn't even see my new friend!

After a while, the doctor took me out of my cage and the next thing I remember, I was waking up and I feeling too good. Like something was missing. I was kind of groggy. Where did mom go, anyway?!? And I sure missed my brother, Jake. We haven't been apart for more than an hour since he came to live with us!

Finally, mommy and daddy came to get me. Even though I was sleepy I was still so excited to see them that I was running and jumping for joy!

Now mommy says we can go more places because I (hopefully, says mom) won't "mark" anymore. What d'you suppose that means?

Well, now I'm back at home and sleeping on the floor with my brother. Mom keeps telling me to stop licking, but I'm so itchy! She keeps warning me about a cone, but we'll just see about that...
