Arrival Story:
So when we first adopted Elvis he is layed back and very patient. However with the adoption of Rufus he has changed. Elvis is now a growly, spinnie, prance-about town fuss-bucket. He doesn't like Rufus around me and begins reminding him at 5am EACH MORNING, not to get to close to Mommy or I'll growl, back and then possibly show you the 5-teeth let in my mouth so you know I'm serious. Oy-vey

Bio:
Elvis crossed the rainbow bridge tonite, Apr 5, 2009. He woke up and a minute later had some type of seizure. He was howling and bouncing around the house, he started crashing into walls and furniture, and bit his tongue and started bleeding... we took him to the emergency vet. He had been losing weight the past few months, but all of those previous tests had shown nothing wrong, the emerg vet thought it might be some kind of brain tumor. Given Elvis' age, weight loss, loss of muscle control and 'pacing' we made the decision to have him put down. He was already sedated so his passing was very calm, we stayed with him stroking him, scratching the top of his head, I told him he was a good boy, how much I will miss him and reminded him how much he has meant to us. It only took seconds for him to pass, we stayed with him a while longer, I know he was watching from above - I'm afraid to wake up tomorrow, and realize he's not here, he's been my companion for 6 yrs, but I will love him the rest of my days. He always greeted you with a wagging tail, loved to meet other dogs loved his family and his dumb as brick sister Ginger. We will all miss him.
