First Days in My New Home

I had fun at the vet a couple of days ago. The assistant guy was really nice and played with me the whole time I was there. I got some meds to take now for my skin, though the vet didn't actually find anything wrong. Mom says she might get me some medicine for demodex anyway. She is worried that the vet just missed it. The stuff is also a monthly flea treatment, so it's not like I couldn't be using it anyway.

I had a good time yesterday with mom. She took me on a leashed walk. That is kind of tough. I'd never been on a leash before meeting mom, but she says I am doing good. She says I have to learn to give her some space and not press against her leg when I walk. Also, I have to learn not to jump up on people. Mom really doesn't like it when I jump on people, but she says I am making progress on that too.

I am also in training to be a goat dog. I haven't had any problems with the hooved critters yet and Pup is teaching me to take it easy and hang out on the back porch in front of the fan.

Oh, almost forgot. I had my first bath. That was really scary when the water came on. I tried to get out of the tub, but mom made me stay. It wasn't so bad actually getting the water on me, but I sure didn't care for it when it all of a sudden started coming out of the faucet.

Well, those were my first few days here. Mom is happy with my progress and I'm having a great time. I'm having to make lots of adjustments and learn new things, but I think I'm getting the hang of things around this place.
