Arrival Story:
Ziggy came to me thru a co-worker poodle breeder. We had a rough start as I was not into poodles. First, he chewed thru an $80 canvas crate to get out; he tore open a 20 lb bag of potting soil in my living room, chewed my computer wires and my prize loafers before he got a wire cage. Then everything settled down until I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Then he became my little nurse dog. Don't know how I would have gotten through the chemo and surgery's without him. We had to move around a lot the next few years and he adjusted better than me. He just got neutered and now we are ready to have a good life in our new permanent home. He has lots of doggie friends and we are both happy and in good physical shape. I pray we have many good years ahead of us. He is my life.

Forums Motto:
Libra Lover

Apricot curly coat with beautiful big brown eyes. About 14 lbs. Very affectionate and listens very well. Calm and collected around people but loves dogs his size. Sometimes intimidated by very large dogs. Very good personality.

Hi - my name is Ziggy and I'm almost 6 years old. I just got neutered last week and I am still recovering. The first day or two was pretty hard. I was really sleepy and had some pain and soreness, so I slept off and on for about 48 hours. Mommy was by my side. We slept on cushions on the living room floor for 4 days so I wouldn't try to climb up and down to get to Mommy's bed. Anyway, my wound doesn't look red or infected or anything. There seems to be a little gap between the skin they glued but looks like it has already closed. Mommy says I can't run or jump, climb the stairs or lay out in the grass for a few more days but I am starting to feel like my old self again. I can't wait to get back to the park. And for Mommy to get some real sleep so we can play again.
