Thank you God.

I am safe. It has been such a bad time. I was living in prison and I was next to die. I was so scared. I hadnn't have a bath in a long time and I smelled so bad just like the prison. I was in a kennel with 2 large pups and they kept climbing on me and they were so heavy. They wouldn't leave me alone and they ate almost every bite of food that the guard put in the bowl. I slept on the floor because the pups had the bed for themselves. I was so miserable. The days just dragged on and on. I knew my time was running out but I could not escape the high walls. One day I saw the vet and they did a test on my blood and that was when they said I had to die or go to rescue because I have heart worms. Rescue?

As time went by, I gave up and just waited for them to kill me. Then yesterday morning the prison guard came and took me out of my cell. I thought my time was up. She gave me to a man and a lady and they put me in their suv and we went for a long ride. I laid still and didn't make one sound. When we got to this house my life changed. The lady said my new name is Kate and my new life has begun. They are nice to me. I first had a bubble bath and my ears cleaned and I just felt so much better I wagged my tail to say thank you. I ate a big bowl of food that the lady gave me and no big pups to take it away from me!It was so good. The lady brushed me and hugged me and the man and lady rubbed my belly and talked so nice to me. I have a kennel all my own here and I am inside where the temp is perfect. I feel safe here. I am going to be OK.
