When I was about 11 years old a 'new' dog joined the neighborhood. He was not a young dog. His name was Milo and the shelter people guessed him to be about 8 years old.

Both being older dogs we were not enthusiastic furiends nor passionate enemies. We occasionaly walked together with our peoples. We were peacefully accepting of each other.

Milo offered several years of companionship to our GoodNeighborFriendLady. He saw her through the loss of her husband.

The day before the family left for their trip they knew Milo was having some health troubles. He was always a healthy little guy and GoodNeighborFriendLady thought she would have more years with him. It was not to be. Milo is a Rainbow Bridge dog now. May we welcome him with open paws.

Milo was one of the furst dogs I saw as a puppy. He kinda scared me at furst. But he sure was a nice dog. We all will miss him.
