being forced to walk on a leash when she'd rather be lounging in the sun or in a pile of leaves
her snoopy chew toy
she seems to enjoy walking the perimeter of our yard rather than the rest of the neighborhood.
she can stand up...to beg for food, :)
For about two years we searched around all the local shelters and foster agencies looking for a proper family dog, but to no avail. When we about to give up, we hit a local humane society in the next town over after lunch, mostly just to let the kids see puppies and what not. After talking to the staff, we were at first recommended to look at two completely different dogs. These were great animals, but we just didn't feel anything for them. As we were strolling around, we happen to glance into the puppy room. In a cage, on the very bottom, laying peacefully on her own was this tiny little puppy. We were informed she was the runt of her litter and her brothers and sisters had already been adopted some days before. As we were hearing her story, she glanced up at us, we knew immediately we had found our dog. Sure, she was asleep and pretty uninterested, but she was also very calm and unaffected by her surroundings. We've had her for about two weeks so far, and she has really come out of her shell. We were told she was a jackabee(unofficially of course) and so far she has shown traits of both suspected breeds. We could not be happier with the newest addition to our family. She is friendly with both our small children, loves to play outside, tear around the house, search for crumbs, and at the end of the day nap on the couch with us.
