Mom and Dad took me to my first puppy class today! My classes are Saturdays at 10:15am for one hour. My teacher is Eleanor, who was one of Quincy's teachers when he went to school there. The other one was named Debby, and I'm going to meet her in two weeks.
Six puppies signed up but only four of us showed up. The best part of class was social time, of course! It became obvious that my best pal is going to be Jumbo, a Cockapoo. As you can see, he's not very big compared to me! Eleanor sure did alot of talking, too!
There was a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Karma, but she was shy and stayed close to her Mom. She does live with her doggie daddy though. Then there was a little puppy but I forgot his name and what kind of dog he was. Today was the first time he had ever been around other dogs so he was extremely shy.
I was used as a demo dog for "sit", "down", and "stand". Mom taught me those commands over a month ago so they were a piece of cake. I do them with both verbal and hand commands. But, I'm going to practice those things some more and also "stay" and a couple of other things.
We don't have class next Saturday because of Easter, so hopefully I will have perfected some of the newer commands by the next class! Mom, Dad and I all have homework!
I am exhausted now so I need a long nap!

I've been hanging around the dining room table and saw tags under the chairs that said this:
UNDER PENALTY OF LAW THIS TAG NOT TO BE REMOVED EXCEPT BY THE CONSUMER
Well, I figured I'm a consumer since I like to consume just about anything, so I had every right to remove all the tags and not worry about going to jail! Not sure why it took so long for my parents to do it--maybe they're not consumers.
Now, let's get SIRIUS! I'm enrolled in SIRIUS Dog Training and I start Puppy I classes next Saturday for six weeks. Quincy took SIRIUS' Puppy I and II classes and he had fun so I bet I'm going to have fun too.
I've gotta go now because I have pre-homework to complete before my first class but I'll keep you posted on how it all goes.
Have a great week until then!

My weight is:
This means that SOPHIE CLAIRE CGC is the contest winner as she guessed my weight to be 23.2lbs!
Mom admits when you all started guessing she didn't think my weight was in the 20's until she picked me up. She was comparing my weight to one of my kitty brothers, Reebok, who weighs 23lbs, though he's alot shorter.
I got to eat lots of cookies during my visit, like when they took my temperature and stuff. I got my nails trimmed and now I'm going to see how I like my toofies brushed!
We went to Petco right after my appointment for more cat food and treats for all of us, so now I'm a worn-out puppy and need a long nap!
Thanks for playing!

DEADLINE: FRIDAY, APRIL 1ST, 9:00PM, PACIFIC TIME (No foolin')
1. Post your comment in this diary entry and include ounces.
2. One guess per family-can't change your guess once posted.
3. Your guess should not be exactly the same as another pup's or cat's guess.

Winner will be announced Saturday after I get back from my appointment!

I had an unexpected visitor tonight! As Mom was pulling into the driveway she saw Casey and his parents walking so she invited them over.
Casey let me jump and climb all over him and never got annoyed with me. We even drank out of a big bowl of water together.
Mom took lots of pictures but most of them are blurry because we were running around so much, especially me. Our tongues were hanging out the entire time.
After they left I had my dinner and now I'm exhausted, but I'm one happy puppy!
Can't wait for another playdate with Casey!

I finally added a video that Dad made from his phone when I went to work with him and met Maxi for the first time. I've grown some since then, but it's my 15 seconds of fame!
I'm going to work with Dad for a few hours tomorrow morning so the ladies will speak to him again. I hope Maxi will be there too!
Mom and I will work on a video of me doing a few tricks in the near future.

Mom has taken me to different pet stores twice now. I get carried to a shopping cart and she puts a towel down and off we go to the cat and dog sections! It's been cool smelling all the cool smells in there. The problem is since I'm in the cart, there are certain things that can't be put right in the cart with me or else you know what will happen, so those things have to go on the bottom of the cart! I did come home with a new toy and a really hard hollow bone that can be stuffed with yummies to keep my mouth busy!
Some guy asked if I was a snickerdoodle! I heard another guy point and say to his mom, "Look at that puppy, look at that cute puppy!" The ladies like to goo-goo and gah-gah over me too. It must be the hair.
I accidently made mom's nose bleed the other morning but it was her own fault. She woke up, fed me and then put me on the couch with her so she could lay down for a few more minutes. Well, I saw that as an invitation to lick her face and nibble on her ears until I got to her nose and nipped it with my sharp little teeth! She survived and nobody at work noticed anything!
I'm growing up without another dog to guide me, so that is the big difference in the house right now, which also means I try to play with the cats all the time. You know, chase the cats while my parents chase me, all that fun stuff!
We will work on making a little video, maybe tomorrow, of the basic little tricks I've learned so far. "Stay" is gonna be a hard one!

I can't believe I'm one of the diary picks again when I was just one last week. Thanks, Dogster HQ and my pals who have stopped by to congratulate me!
Yesterday morning Dad took me for a walk and we ran into Casey, Quincy's best pal, at the park. He said I've sure grown since the last time he saw me and then he told me to jump all over him and I obeyed because I sure didn't want him to be disappointed! We had a good time.
When Dad went to work yesterday, a couple of ladies told him they weren't speaking to him because he didn't bring me. BOL! I hope I get to go next week!
Gotta go, time for dinner!

It's been rainy and windy the entire weekend and I've been chasing raindrops along the concrete expansion joints on the cement patio in the backyard--that and digging holes!
Dad said it was time for a walk in the rain so I would stop fooling around and do my business, so we went to the big park around the corner and ran into an old dog park friend of Quincy's named Angus. We chased either other and rolled in the wet grass full of puddles!
We entered the house through the garage so Dad could grab a towel. When Mom saw me wrapped in the towel in Dad's arms, she said that I looked like mud pie! She would have taken a picture except all she could think of was that I needed a bath immediately and Dad couldn't put me down until the water was the right temperature. I did good in the tub and shook water off a few times just to make sure I got Mom nice and wet!
It was exciting to bite and roll all over the towels trying to get dried off. Then I went in my bachelor pad and crashed for hours!
After I woke up all nice and fluffy, I borrowed the boycats' old Easter collar and had my pictures taken. Maybe we'll have an Easter Egg Hunt just for me and I'll get to chase a rabbit!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I think I'm part Irish because not only am I a diary pick again but I'm Dog of the Day! I think that's a first for our family.
Thank you to Dogster, and to you all for sending me all the cool stuff, comments, pup pal requests, and pawmails!
I got to eat ALOT of little bits of treats tonight while practicing "sit", "down", "rollover", and giving "paw". Mom says that's better than me trying to climb her leg like Mount Everest. She got so excited about how good I did that she kept squealing like a little girl! I think her voice is hoarse now.
Wait until I show my Dad what I've been learning. I'm going to learn more commands and by the time I start puppy school next month I'll know alot of stuff already!
Thanks again to everypup for making me feel really special today!
