After months of hearing about percolation ponds around us that allow dogs to swim in them on weekends, we went on an adventure yesterday to check one out.

We were the only ones on the trail and I had fun smelling stuff. I saw lots of ducks in the water but I was really trying to listen for some "woofs". Finally, I heard them! We went towards the woofing and saw three Golden Retrievers fetching and swimming in the water. One was not nice to me so his Mom scolded him and said he was very protective of her.

Well, we decided it was best that we didn't hang around with them and kept walking. I went to investigate the water and got my paws wet but didn't have any interest in swimming. I guess my parents should have known since I've had no interest in my pool at home. BOL!

Since we weren't far from the self-serve pet wash, my parents decided I was due for a bath anyway so I ended up getting wet after all!

It's still warm and sunny here in Caifornia but should be cooling down by the end of October. I can't wait to bark at the trick-or-treaters!
