Mom tried to help me post this diary entry on Saturday but Dogster must have had fleas and I never saw it in my diary...so let's try again...

Well, I've been allowed out on walks for the past 2 weeks now and off the antibiotics for the staph infection for a week and a half and there doesn't seem to be any swelling in my knee which might mean the staph is gone and I don't have to have my implant removed. That would be terrific since I've had so much trouble over the past 8 months. In a couple of days I'm allowed to be off leash for a little bit in the yard. I hope Mom lets me do that cause I'd love to be able to be on my own for awhile. While I love the walks, I want my freedom! But I don't always listen very well off leash and the doctor doesn't want me running and getting too excited cause I'm almost, but not totally healed yet. But at least for the first time I'm making some progress so Mom's real happy, and me too. I'm anxious to get back to normal and I might almost be there!

Oh, and I'm a little mad at Mom and Dad today. As some of my pals know, my Mom owns a little dog bakery and store, so she had a booth at a dog event today and when they came home, they smelled like a bunch of different dogs. They didn't bother to take me or Chance to this place cause they apparently wanted to cheat on us and pet a bunch of other dogs. So we sniffed and sniffed and sniffed them again then went and laid down and didn't want to see them for a little bit until they washed those other dog smells off of them. How rude. Next time they better take us so we can check out these other pups first before we allow our pawrents to get close enough to pet them. I think Mom forgot I'm the official Head of Security for her company! Let me do my job Mom!

You Mom wouldn't of had you replaced, did she? I don't think she could find a better head of security. That is great you will be able to be off leash! How exciting! Don't get mad at your Mom and Dad, they really didn't mean to 'cheat'!

Take it s-l-o-w. I had to do that when I had my hip replaced. It was tough to slow down, but for the best. Dogs, we like to run and jump and play and feel so happy when we aren't in pain anymore! Glad you are feeling better!
