Beau got his wings today

The pain was too much...

I'm doing good!

Went to the vet with Dad yesterday, and I'm doing very good. I even lost a couple of pounds - Mom said I needed to - harumph - I'm not too sure. Anyway, I got a clean bill of health (well, except for a little bit of ick in one of my ears). Anyway, all in all, I'm good.

Well, after the vet and getting poked - Dad and I went to this park - and guess who was there???!! Mom and Scout!! We sure had fun saying hello - Dad said I'd better cool it otherwise folks would think I was 'attacking' Mom - hey -I was just saying hello!! We walked around a little while, there were lots of folks there and even some other critters - like donkeys and sheep. No hot dogs tho - Dad, Scout and I were real disappointed...I don't think Mom cared too much - she's just crazy tho.

Well, the excitement wasn't over. A snake came in our yard and Scout and I had to keep it busy until Mom got Dad and Dad took it out of our yard. That snake was NOT happy - he was slithering all over the place and just being not nice. But, nobody got bit and the snake is ok (I guess, I didn't go looking for him).

Walkin' in the rain - again

Why does it always seem to rain when Mom walks us? The good thing is we get to go see the goats and Mom isn't in a hurry. I get to sniff and make sure that EVERYBODY knows that 'Beau was here'.

But the best part of it is that Mom towels me off when we get home - it feels so nice - it's almost the best part of the walk!!

Walkin' in the rain

Well, it was a lot of running, not a lot of walking. When we started out, it wasn't raining hardly at all, but less than 5 minutes into it, here came the rain and the thunder. Mom started running more 'cause Scout doesn't like the thunder - her nub goes down and she wants to go back home. Rain doesn't bother me too much, but this was really hard rain and even I noticed!! The only good thing is Mom gave me a really good rub down when we got home, that feels really really good.

I've got spondylosis

It's not catching, and it's not fatal, and the yummy peanut butter I get after every meal seems to be helping. Mom and Dad were real upset when they found out, but now that we all know what's going on, they say that they can make things better for me. The water bowl is raised up now so it's not such a strain on my back to reach it, and Mom puts my food bowl up too for me to eat. I'm playing more now than I have in a while because I don't hurt so much, I'm such a tough guy I never let Mom and Dad see how much I hurt until it hurt REALLY bad.

But, it's all good. I can run and walk and play tug and chase the deer - so life is excellent!!

Walkin' in the 'Ville

Yup - Mom took us walking in town!! I'm not sure what the best part of that is, the car ride or all the new smells!! Mom says I'm a little 'excited' when we first start out - but hey!! I've got to make sure that everybody knows "Beau was here'!! I do calm down after a few minutes, I'm really a good boy, but - I LOVE walkin' in the 'Ville!!!

Mmmmmm - massage

Mom is giving me massages on my legs, she said that since I was limping a little maybe massages would help. I guess it's helping, I sure do know it feels really really good. I'm not limping much at all, in fact, I might be faking it a bit, but don't tell Mom. I'm getting these great massages, so it's all good!!

Yummmmm - deer meat

Mom won't let us bring the deer we find by the side of the road home, but somewhere she found some deer meat and we get it!! It is soooo yummy - I can't believe that Mom refuses to let us bring it home when we find it. She is so crazy, there are a LOT of dead deer by the roads around here....

Happy Birthday to Me!!

Well, Mom and Dad weren't sure exactly what day my birthday was, so Mom chose Feb 14 - and I'm ok with that.

SNOW!!!

Ok, this is a bit much, even for me. It's so deep it's almost over my head, and I'm not a real short guy. Poor Scout, it's WAY over her head. I can kinda barrel through it, but Mom was real nice and shoveled some paths for us, but no playing outside, the toys would just fall through the snow. We do get to go on walks now, but Mom doesn't walk real fast, something about walking on ice and snow, guess she's not real good at that walking thing.

I am liking this cold thing tho - it's AWESOME
