RUNNING!!!!

On Sunday I got in the car (with Vision, remember her? she lived with us around Christmas and then she found a home). We drove for about an hour, then I got out and there were other greyhounds (including Goldie!). Mom put my muzzle on me and then i got to RUN!!!!!

A quick update on things at my house - Goldie got adopted about a month or so ago. There's a new dog, Tangier, here now. He's been here about three weeks. He's mellow, I like him (he didn't run with us).

World's End

it sounds like a bad movie, right? Well, it's a really cool preserved area south of Boston. It's on the harbor, so has some nice views of the water. Anyway, this morning we got up and all three of us (Addie is here for a week and, of course, Goldie is still here - the foster) and mom went to World's End. We met up with all these other greyhounds and went on a walk. it was SO fun.

Now i'm back home...yawn...gotta go flop on my bed and nap now. hope your Sunday is as full of fun and relaxation!

I was just surfing through my friends' pages a bit. Vision has a beautiful new black and white picture on her site. Have you seen it? If not, check it out. Vision used to live at my house and I really liked her. We were buddies. I'm so glad she's happy in her new home.

Now there's a new dog living with us. Her name is Goldendale (Goldie) and she's funny. She's got a lot of energy and lots of personality. Mom says she broke her leg and that's why she's living with us. It must have happened a long time ago, as she seems to get around just fine.

Ok, time to go snuggle into my bed for the night. I hope you and yours are warm and happy tonight.

Mom is sick

I don't exactly know what that means, but it does mean that I got to snuggle in bed with mom for a few hours today. in the MIDDLE OF THE DAY!!!!! it was SO great. I got under the covers, put my head on the pillow and away we slept. Then I was at the foot of the bed for a while. Then the cat came and mom decided it was time for dinner.

overall, not a bad way to spend the day. but i do hope mom feels better soon. and she sure sounds funny...

My mom leaves again...AGAIN!

but, truly, I'm enjoying my time at Addie's house. Mom told me not to get on the couch while i'm at her house...but it's SO large and comfortable. I don't understand why mom says that.

I'm enjoying walks and quality time with my Addie. yeah! The kitties are tolerating me, but they're not very welcoming. At least they don't swat at me like the kitty that's now at my house. He's been around since November and he really likes to boss me around....

I hope mom comes home soon....i wonder what she'll bring me from Baltimore. What's a Baltimore?

What a Weekend!

I had a GREAT weekend...it was really long. Mom and I got in the car on Thursday (that's what mom called it...was just another day for me) and we were in it for a while. Then I realized that we were somewhere I knew! I started wagging and whining from excitement - we arrived at my old haunt! I got to see my friends Maggie & Vasanti and, best of all, I got to spend a lot of time sniffing around the yard at their house. Mom kept saying we were going to "DC" - whatever that is - she didn't say I'd get to hang out in the huge yard and sleep on Vasanti's bed!

I was there for four whole nights. I had a great time. There's a small human in this house (they call her Mira) and she was ok. Mostly, I stay away from her. But, she wasn't as loud as she used to be (when she was even smaller).

THEN we got back in the car and were in there for a while. Then we stopped at a new house that I'd never been to...I met Barkey again (saw him once a few weeks ago) and he showed me around his house. I got to walk in some woods...then napped a while there.

When we finally got home last night, I was SOOOO tired - but what a great weekend. I had so much fun. The car wasn't even so bad. I managed to get some small naps in.

Now I'm going to sleep some more...so much sleep to make up for...

Best Grandma Ever

I have the best Grandma ever. she got me ANOTHER Christmas present (I wasn't too excited about one she got me, so she took it home and sent me a new one). This one is AWESOME!!! It's another bubbly fish, like the one Addie has. Addie gave me one for Christmas (it's the hammerhead shark in the Christmas picture) and now I have a swordfish one from grandma.

Happy New Year!!

Yup, it's a new year all over again. I'm getting the hang of this, now that I've been with my mom for over three years. So what did I do for New Year's Eve? I snuggled with my mom (she even let me sleep on the bed last night! but I think it's because she was cold).

And I hung out with the dog that's hanging out here until she finds a home - she's a foster. Her name is Vision (check her out here: http://www.greyhoundwelfare.org/viewdog.php?dogid=879). She's pretty cool. She tries to take my bed, though. So we just lie on it together. Basically, it's me not willing to get up and her wanting my bed. Mom thought it was cute, but when she picked up the camera, we both got up. Don't want any evidence....

OH! And today, as a treat, we went to the BEACH for a walk. I sniffed dead things and peed on the beach. sigh. a dog's life. Gotta love it. it was great.

I'm going to go nap and reflect on my great day.

CHRISTMAS!!! I have NO idea what it is...but I KNOW I love it. I got treats, and new toys and rawhides and...wow...it was great. Check out the new picture mom uploaded with me on Christmas. I fell asleep after playing with my new toy (it's a fun shark that ADDIE gave me!) - and then grandma put the hat on me. And mom gave me my shark to sleep with.

Anyway, grandma came to visit for Christmas. It was her, and mom, and me and Val (the new cat) and Vision (she's the foster at the house right now). We had a fun Christmas - food, presents, it was all good.

Mom was home for like three days. It was so great. She's gone again today (that place called "work" - whatever that is) - so we're catching up on things here at home. Mostly sleep, but also this diary...

So, my mom is crazy. I mean, really. There are THREE dogs in my house (counting me, of course) and one cat (you know, the new guy). amazing.

The walk today should be fun, at least with three of us, no spot goes unsniffed and no tree un-peed-upon....
