Dear Diary,
I don't know how your Mama can get ANY booty rest knowing that you are in a jail cell trying to have happy dreams yourself so you can make her happy day after day. It's SHAMEFUL!! Derringer...if Izzy B. gets her way, he'll be down in the dungeon in the basement!!! BOL. He does have a little 5x5 gated "exercise yard" he can access attached to his "cell," where his food, water, and TOYS that Izzy does not have access to, are kept. What a life! Bacon Schmacon! BOL Bacon! You are still adjusting to your new home. BOL Bacon! That's like me, Ben! I want to get up and play at 2:30, and sometimes at 5:30 a.m., and Mommy is getting more and more surly! I can't imagine why!? I am an old man, but I got lots of play left in me. She tried putting me in another room and I cried and carried on so much she gave in. She suspects now, 3 weeks later, it's too late! If you do get put in the other room, let me know what your mommy does to get rid of the guilt! love Ben Aw Bacon, I did that to my Momma, too, when I was just a young pup. Now that I'm middle aged, I don't do those things no more. Tell your Momma to be patient, you'll figure it all out!! Flicka used to want to be up at 4am.. but now.. after a little work at the time... we have a sensible understanding.. and neither he nor Lucas get up till either the alarm goes off at 5.45 am.. or weekends its later. It worked itself out. Your poor ma with her tired booty! BOL! As a labydor I likes to play, play, play all the day long. But then at night I likes to sleep, sleep, sleep all night long. My ma wakes up earlier than me! I am sure you'll find your nightly rhythm and be a super sleeper real soon. Sleepin's one of the things us dogaloos do really well! I want to sleep with my momma also but for the longest time momma was trying to get me to sleep in a crate simply because Coco does and likes it. Me, I objected in the best ways that I could, peeing on the crate mattress and barking all night long. Momma was not happy plus she was dead tires all the time from me waking her up all night long. Each time she would let me up on the bed with her momma complained that I hogged it up and that she still was not getting a good nights sleep. After a two year battle the crates are no longer in the bedroom and the dog mattresses that were in the crates are now on the floor and that is where Coco and I sleep. We let momma sleep all night long now so everyone is happy although I would still preferr to be sleeping with my momma. Puff I nevfur had the privledge of sleeping with my pawrents...not even in their room! (Because I growl, yes me, I growl when I get jostled in my sleep...and I am so grumpy...so that sleeping with them never was an option...) At first I had to be in a crate...then after I was furlly potty and behavior trained... not to chase cats and not to chew stuffs, the crate door got left open...I was confused! But now I just stay in my open crate, or in a kitty bed(!), or at the top of the steps. Maybe your Mama could make a compromise to teach you to be a quiet doggy and sleep in a comfy nest beside Mama's big bed! Izzy, Bacon doesn't belong in anyone's dungeon! Maybe you both need a bed on opposite sides of the pawrents' bed! Woofs! The ONLY time I get to sleep with the 'rents is when we are in travel mode...then I have my bed beside theirs...and Pawppy keeps me awake with all his wood sawing! BOL! On one of my first travel trips, I jumped right on them while they were sleeping...I wanted to play and go outside...I could hear the city noises outside...that we don't have at our den! Mommies don't sleep much when there are babies in the house, whether they are four-legged or two-legged. But babies get bigger, and night-night will sort itself out. Mommy tried to keep me out of the bed fur the longest time, but in the end daddy and I won, BOL!!! But I'm a feet-sleeper, and I don't mind being rearranged! Hee hee, Bacon. You just need to train your new Momma right. I fooled Daddy into letting me in the bed the third night I was home... and I was only 6 weeks old. I've been sleeping in the big bed ever since. Usually on the feets of one or the other of the 'rents. Until Daddy gets up-- he's an early bird-- and then I move over to his spot and snag his pillow! BOL!! You'll get the hang of 2 in the morning being sleepy time instead of playtime. Maybe a post- dinner walkie would help to wear you out? I had to wait a while to get to sleep in the bed. I slept in my crate at first, then one night my momma decided I could sleep in the bed. But that night, before I went to sleep, I peed in the bed so I was back in the crate for a while. Now I get to sleep in the bed and I'd never give it up! Awwww, Bacon... :o) I predict you will be spending lots of sleepy times in bed with your momma cos you will win over booty sleep anytime. ;o) BAAACCCOOONNN!! Iz telled youz a story, Iz waz a "tiny man" when Angel Captain Ernie George firsted knoweded me and Mama says, "Asher, I gonna teach you to be a good boy and sleep in your little house, your very our house at night". Youz sister Muffyn never would". Youz know Muffyn is a brat and doz Lhasa's make terrible talking when dez want sumpin. So Muffyns always gotz her way and sleepted in bed with Mama.I waz da good boy and did what Mama sayd, but den Mama sayd, "You, Asher Dasher, are such a good boy and spend too much time in your little house, working times for Mama & nights too! Without barkin or nuthin". So I gotsted to sleep with Mama too!! Nowz "crazy lady" Mama has two stretched out pups cuddling with her and protecting her. Me & Muffyn wufs our Mama!!! be persistent, Bacon. Sometimes the peeps are difficult to train at first, but they will learn. Oh cuddle time! Maybe if Daddy walks you at night you'll sleep the night through! It's hard for babies to do, especially with the little bladders! You're gonna need a sidekick named 'Eggs'!!! Whisper it in your Mama's ear when she's sleepin'... it works! i too predict that you will be sleeping with Mama, and she will get used to it, cause we can't resist the warm and soft cuddles of there babies...BOL |
