Wow, I'm the DDP!!! I don't know if I've ever been picked, but if I have, it was a long time ago. Thank you Dogster for the honor and thanks to all my pals who gave me congrats:)

I also have a special wish for someone today...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!!!!! :D I hope you have a wonderful day and get lots of goodies!

Okay, now about my weekend. We went to the mountains with Mom, Nancy and of course sissy. Mom did her usual cutting grass til dark. It was really hot and humid so we did play a little outside while mom cut, but then we went into the cabin and enjoyed the AC:) That was about all we did for the night.

Saturday morning I chilled outside while mom and Nancy drank coffee and got caught up on all the things they missed with each other. And guess what? Mom said I was an awsome girl cause people went walking down the street and I didn't bark or run after them at all. She was really proud of me:) Anyway, around lunchtime we hit the road. Our first stop was in Mexico for ice cream... that was sooooooooooooo good!!! Mom said I was such a good girl cause there were a lot of people around because ice cream was only 30 cents. Plus, we were there for a long time cause this older couple were talking to mom and Nancy. Me, I just laid and was doing a little people watching. From there we went to a little flower shop. You should see the flower mom bought... hit was HUGE! She took a picture which I'm sure she'll post eventually. You can barely see us doggies in the back seat through the flower! After tackling the flower into the car, we headed to the covered bridge to go swimmy... YEAH! Our excitement was deflated when we arrived and found all these people swimming there:( They were only on one side, but unfortunately, they were all on the one side, but that was the side with the deep hole where we can actually swim. So we went around them and mom said she was very proud the way I walked right by and didn't bother them at all, and Chloe too. So we were playing on the other side minding our own business, then they started to encroach on our side. Mom was not happy and when Chloe and I gave a little bark to let them know we weren't happy about it, mom didn't yell at us at all. In fact, she told us we did good. Heck, what do they want to hog the entire creek!?!?!? They were all dressed really funny too with long dress robe thingies and things on the middle of their foreheads. Mom said they were from the "yoga farm" up the street. I don't know what they're doing at that farm, but they need to teach them to share! Anyway, we played in the creek for over an hour, then we packed up and headed out. When we got back, we hung with mom while she made dinner then after dinner I napped with mom and Nancy watched a movie. Later in the evening daddy showed up. I was really happy to see him:) After the movie we all sat on the patio and chilled. I found a little toad and of course, mom wouldn't let me have it:( But it was a beautiful night and I was just happy to be there.

Sunday we started the same way we did Saturday, sitting on the porch relaxing. Again mom said we were good girls cause we didn't bark when our neighbor and daughter walked by. Heck no I wasn't barking cause I learned my lesson from last time. I'm not getting tired up! After mom made breakfast, mom, Nancy, Chloe and I went for a kubota ride. We ran along on the one side, but when we crossed the street, mom made us ride in the back cause it was so hot. I tried to tell mom if she would have let us go in the swimmy hole we would cool off, but she said no cause there wasn't much water in it and the water that was in there was dirty. She knows we like to drink it and didn't want us getting sick. I understand that but darn did I want to go in the swimmy hole. We left early afternoon and stopped at this really cool place. It's called the Red Rabbit and the people bring the food to your car, is that cool or what?! Mom got Chloe and me a burger too and it was sooooo yummy! Of course mom is always nervous whenever she gives me something other than my food or treats cause she's always afraid it will kick in my pancreantitis. So far so good though:) So when we got home, mom got showered then took grandma to dinner and a movie. I didn't mind though cause I was catching up from my weekend so I just napped.

It was a really nice relaxing weekend and I can't wait to go back up. I know I won't get to post again until we get back to I just want to wish every a Happy July 4th! Remember to thank all our military who fight to keep our freedom that our forefathers won for us. Also be safe and stay away from fireworks and out of the heat!
