Arrival Story:
I was looking for a replacement for our Chi/JR Terrier mix who recently passed away of old age. I wanted a Chihuahua or Chi mix and was looking for a couple of months when one day I walked into my favorite pet store, & there in the puppy pen was a litter of Chorkies. There was one tiny, blue & tan very short-haired boy (with bald patches) & HUGE ears. He was adorable! I picked him up & he snuggled into my arms, so it was love at first sight. I learned that his mother was actually Chihuahua Xolo cross, and his dad a 4lb. Yorkie. Chuie is CKC registered and is quite a character. His doggie sister, "Biscuit" (aka Lucy), a Bassett/Yorkie/Lhasa Apso mix, thinks we brought him home for HER, & she guards him & plays with him like he is her own pup! :)

Mother - 7lb Chihuahua Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican Hairless) hybrid Father - 4 lb Yorkshire Terrier Color - Blue and tan, large prick ears, very short-haired with some bald spots (from hairless gene)& some long, sparse wispy hairs in random locations. Scooter is one of those "complex nest" makers. With blankets, he takes building his nest seriously. It takes him a good 5 minutes to get it just right. Scooter also loves a blue "tent-like" bed I originally had bought for the cats (who promptly ignored it). It's hilarious to see Scooter shoot into the tent while playing with big sister, Lucy - the tent will roll around the room from his weight. Many times I couldn't find Scooter in the house, only to see him pop out of the tent when I call him. Now I peek into his little tent when I can't find him & there he will be. Scooter is a submissive/very sweet dog, he gets along great with our houseful of girl dogs (one sweet & submissive, one bossy and grumpy, one bossy "queen"). He's also very playful & has a great sense of humor. His personality is incredibly wonderful...he's extremely affectionate & loves to be held, and loves all people, including strangers.

Well, I am almost 1 year old! I still am having trouble getting my poops outside. I am so confused. Every morning, after every nap, & after every meal, my Mom takes me out to go potty. I know to pee outside, but then I get distracted & sniff all the neat smells in the yard. I think I just forget to poop until after my Mom brings me back in. Then, a few minutes later I think, oh yeah, I forgot to poop! Well, at least I plop it next to the front door on the tile, almost on the pee-pee pad. I did poop outside the other day & my Mom praised me a lot! She carried me around like I just won a blue ribbon! I think I'll try to remember to plop it outside again, that sure made Mom happy!
