Putting myself to bed!

Daddy says I might be the most sensible dog after all! That’s ‘cause I’ve had an upset tummy a lot.

I’m thinking about wearing a sign that says, “SENSITIVE TUMMY. ‘MEMBER???”

Because Mama keeps giving me good yummies! And then I feel kinda bad.

My antibiotic I’m taking for my runny poop kinda hurts my tummy too.

So sensitive!

If I get to feeling kinda bad I put myself to bed. I’ll do it in the early evening, only when I’m ready to stay in bed! I go upstairs all by myself and up the ramp and onto the GOOD bed, where Mom and Dad sleep!

Last night Daddy even said he was gonna do what I do and put himself to bed early!

When I put myself to bed Mama comes upstairs and kisses me to check on me, but it’s nice and quiet and cool. Good sleeping conditions.

Today I had some rice and chicken with my kibble, Mama thought it would help my tum-tum.

I threw it up! Then I ate it again! Shoot! That was good even the second time around!!! Mama got some of it though.

Nap time for me! Not bed time yet, so I’ll just go to my crate!

I’m the family representative!

I represented the family when I went to the vet for runny poop! I STILL had it a week after coming home from the kennel, and so did Frankie!

The vet people like ME best, so I went! They shaved a part of my neck – just like Daddy does! Then they took blood! Everything there was great! Mama was to get a poopie sample for them.

We came home, I pooped, and it was SOLID! BOL! How about that! Is it the power of suggestion? Could be! Franks poopie got solid too.

Mama says better safe than sorry!!!

I had to drink some REALLY BITTER AWFUL antibiotic, but it was only once, so it was okay! Gosh!

They were happy to see me at the vet and I got kisses!

Joey needs some shots so I get to go one more time before we move away!

Sores

Whew! That was a close one! Mama and Daddy put us up for adoption for almost a week! It was FUREVER! I guess no one wanted us ‘cause they came back and got us. Gosh! What did WE do? I was in a kennel by myself, but next door to Joey and Frank’s shared kennel.

Oh how I yearned to be with them! Being next to them also made me kinda aggravated!

It was COLD! Our coats got together and decided to shed a lot and regrow winter coats! Mama said she didn’t think I had that much hair – until they picked us up! I was shedding like mad! Little teeny weeny hairs EVERYWHERE!

Frank and Joey were excited. I was too, but I’m the strong silent type, so I just trembled in Mama’s arms, and shed like mad! We were all SO happy to be home! Daddy even let me climb in his lap and steer the car when we were almost home! I missed Daddy! He’s great!

Frank and me have sores on our noses and mouths, Mama and Daddy are sure it’s from nosing the chain link doors and stuff. Mama says we need extra good food now that we’re home! Joey said she has sense enough not to hurt herself, but she suffered a LOT on the inside!

I thought it was spaghetti!!

I did! I thought it was spaghetti! And I LOVE spaghetti! It's my favorite food!!!

It was spaghetti with a taste of.... bunny! Daddy said it wasn't spaghetti, but Frank and I had to string it all over the back yard for him to see it.

Daddy was UPSET! He said it was SPECIAL bunny-angora yarn Mama spun and dyed! Gosh, I love Mama, so the spaghetti kinda smelled like her too... Another perk!

He said he can't leave us alone for a SECOND! It's true! BOL!

Mama pretended to be upset, but said she didn't really like the colors anywhoo. She can thank us later!

Daddy said he thought I was the one who took it, even though he DIDN'T SEE!! Mama said, "Why are you throwing my Buddha under the bus???" Mama knows speculation is futile!

It mighta been me, it mighta been Frankie, whoever it was did it, then we BOTH played with it in the yard! Weeeeeee!!! Fun!

Daddy picked it up. He said it was bad for tummies! It was fun though! What else can we get into Frankie?

I've got mail!

I got real live paper mail!

I got a congratulations card from the nice people at the vet clinic that SAVED MY LIFE!!!

They saw my picture with my graduation cap on and were SO happy for me! They knew I was a winner from the beginning!

My card EVEN came with some magnets that say things like 'good boy!' and 'sit' and 'stay'!!! I can nose the 'good boy' one when I want to be praised! BOL!

Thanks to my saviors at the vet clinic! It's hard to think of a thank you for saving my life, I mean, that's BIG! What can I say?? But THANKS!!!! Keep doin' what you're doin'!

tum tum not right

My tum tum is not right. Or something.

I had a GREAT day today! DIFFERENT PEOPLE came over to our house and I got to supervise them!! And sniff them! It was FUN!

Mama made me stay behind a screen, something about dying chemicals and colors. No fun! What about me??? I have artistic needs too!

Oh well. Not this time. :(

We got to sample different veggies and even chicken thigh! Nom nom nom!

By the time dinner rolled around I really didn't want any. Especially after than chicken!!! Hello???

Mama is worried about me, but I took a good long nap and am playing around with Frankie. Mama says it's real important I eat and it's like a magical "sign" if I don't want to eat.

She doesn't understand that I ate a lot of REAL FOOD today! I don't need kibble dinner! Silly Mama!

Sleepy sleepy day!

Today we're all SOOOO sleepy! Yesterday we all ran with the bike and Frank and I went to dog class!

At dog class Frank wanted to play with ev-er-y-body! I said, "Wait! What about me? Look, new dog, don't you hurt my little brother! You'll have me to answer to!"

I HAD to say it! He's so young! And naive! He has no idea the kinds of things this world is capable of! And when he meets other dogs, they KNOW that! He's just happy-go-lucky and unassuming!

Good thing Frankie has a brother like me, to protect him from other dogs! He can play with them, but I say my mind and then I watch like a hawk!

"I'm watching you, dogs playing with Frankie!"

Whew. That was exhausting! No wonder we're all tired today! It's nap time #6! Cuddles!

My name is Buddha and I'm a happy boy!

I have a GREAT life with pawrents who will carry me if they think I need it and PET me SOOOO MUCH!

My ear infection is ALL GONE! YAY!

My two doggie siblings are super fun!!! Even if Joey doesn't want me biting her!!

I have a comfy bed in my crate, and I sleep on a comfy people-bed at night!

I get yum yum food twice a day and Mama has started giving me and Joey supplements for our joints! We get fish oil on our food too - NOM NOM NOM!!!

I get walked and I run with the bicycle.... but LOTS of naps! Those are important!

Sometimes people come over and coo over me and I get to snuggle with THEM! I like the opportunity to snuggle with new people!

I'm going to school and learning all sorts of neat things!

I love my life! I'm the happiest dog evah!

The Graduate!!!

I graduated from Beginner Education everybody! And I am WIPED OUT!

Whew! The car ride, the practicing, the TEST, having to be still and quiet while others were testing (did I mention Frankie came with me?), THEN wearing a cap with pictures! Mama and Daddy were SO happy!

I'm happy too! There's just exactly enough time for me to go into Intermediate Education class before we move! Woof woof! I'm excited! Three of my classmates will be there with me!

Daddy says it's time to watch a movie. That's my cue to hop on the couch and cuddle up! What a day!

It was my EAR! NOT my back!!!

Oh sheesh! What will I do with these pawrents???

We had a big day today, I got to go to the vet and visit the people who saved my life!!! They looked at my ear, too!

I have a kinda outer ear infection and Mama will drop and rub oinkment on it for a week.

THEN. Then they did it. Stuck a KNIFE in my back!! Really, I think it was a scalpel, we were at the doc after all....

What the heck? What does that have to do with my ear?

Oh, Mama says it doesn't. She says I got implanted with a little chip! Hmmmm. Will it take over my brain? Will it start thinking and acting for me? Am I half robot now?!?!

That could be fun...

Oh, big day! I'm on 'light duty' because of the whole knifing incident, but only for a day or two! BOL!
