Lots and lots of activity. Outdoor hunting.
Not being included in everything
She has endless baskets of toys. Balls were her favorite.
beef,chicken,most veggies and fruits
Open Prairies of North Dakota -5m walk was average for her.
Catch popcorn with her mouth. Hide and Seek. Shake hands, roll over, dance, lay down, stay and sit. Bringing the toy you ask for by name.
I was visiting my parents in Indiana. Just a couple weeks before my youngest child would graduate from high school. I was feeling the Empty Nest Syndrome Big Time. I had laid to rest all my previous fur companions. Due to old age...Life seemed so empty without a dog at my side. I had always had a dog. Since the age of 2.
I found an ad in the paper and only went to look at the puppies. Oh yeah! Right! A big litter of about 8. Belonging to retired air force people. The couple owned both the Mother and Father of the litter. My folks had been career military. I was comfortable buying a puppy from them. Papers were already in order. They had a huge room that was just for the puppies. Filled with stuff for them to play with. Nothing to injury themselves. The Mother jumped over the gate to either go to the pups or leave. Food and water bowls for all. A huge sleeping area. They also had a big fenced in backyard for exercise.
I held and played with all the puppies. However, Foxie and I chose each other. She was 10 wks. old. A cute fuzzy little ball of enrgy. Born a natural retriever. She was playing ball and returning it to me within a week. She loved to hunt. Deer mostly. She wouldn't hesitate to flush game birds(land & water), rabbits, squirrels. An occasional run-in with a skunk. She was an excellent swimmer. She loved children. Embracing our future grandkids, as if she knew they were pack members. She acted as she had been preparing all her life for them to enter it.
I had major health issues. Foxie became my disablity companion. She worked very hard to keep me motivated, exercising, moving and fighting my injuries and my diseases. She was certified by one of my Doctors. Foxie helped me fight major depression and beat it.
Foxie kept me fighting to keep going in this world. I had her 13 1/2 yrs. SHE DIED IN MY ARMS ON June 14,2007.
She loved to be the out fielder for a good softball game. Always brought the ball back. Excellent Swimmer, loved the lake and playing with any children that showed up there. We walked thousands and thousands of miles across our prairie fields in her lifetime. (Well, I walked, she ran 75% of them). She played basketball with a waste can and ball. She played hide and seek with children, as well as toys. She loved to go for rides. She liked everyone, but was my girl.
Days when I couldn't get out of bed, she never left my side.
There absolutely are not enough words in the english language to describe the relationship we had. The day Foxie went to Rainbow Bridge, my heart was shattered.
Ready to work-out?

Hi there Pals- Thank you for the greetings and
pressies last week on my Gotcha Day. So pawsome to
still be here at dogster even with its mess of Fleas.
Hopefully that will change in the future.
Do you know what???? This past Gotcha Day ...it was 20 yrs. since the
day Mom and I chose each other. I came from a big litter with lots
of siblings. Mom handled and played with all of them. We were a very
I was the one who, kept coming back after I had my turn to play,
snuggle and be held. I'd crawl up on her lap and try to
push my sisters and brothers out of the way.... It was
only the sisters I was worried about.
Mom plainly stated the puppy had to be a girl!
Finally I couldn't take it and I had to be front and center....So I
pushed and wiggled and crawled right over them all! Then I stretched
myself, BIG and TALL! I laid a tons of kisses, all over Mom's Face!
She pulled me back and looked into my Eyes....She said,
they sparkled like magic! She held me close and I snuggled.
The other pups went back to their bedroom and I stayed....
I did all I could to show off, spread kisses, curl up and
be cozy and cute! I crawled into her big Bag that
was a purse....
She was suppose to just be LOOKING....but,when she left,I left with
her! We went to the store, bought a collar, leash, extra food and toys.
Her sister was driving the car....So I curled up and slept! When
we got out of the car,I was at my Grandpa and Grandma's house.
Mom was visiting them in Indiana for their 40 th. wedding anniversary.
I would potty outside right away. I would bring my precious stuff
duck and ball back.(The very 1st. time we tried that game!)
I was a natural at retrieving...
This began the Love Affair that lasted 13 1/2 yrs.
I was a go getter! I never let Mom give up on herself.
Through some real serious health problems.
I was at her side every step of the way! The stories I
could tell you, would fill a book!
I'm sssssssssssssoooooooooooo Happy that MOM
forgot about my gotcha day! Not the month, just
the day....It means that Mom is happy!
Little Mazy is doing a pawtastic job at being her companion.
Mom (aka Gma) has really slowed down in the last 7 yrs.
Good thing that Mazy is smaller. Easier to groom,
not as fast as I was....
Doesn't want to do 5 miles every day!
Mom,I will always love you! I'm waiting at the bridge
with all your other furs. You've had a dog pal since
you were 2! Everyone of us are here...
Baby and I are watching...Waiting for you and Dad
to have that real retirement time.
Mazy will be a pawsome traveler.....
Gotta go,time for our afternoon games. Absolutely,
I'm playing ball and then hide-n-seek.
After that Baby and I are going fishing with the
They are so much fun to hang
out with .....
I get to swim while they fish.
I forgot Mom....Precious is here!
She's settled in and doing fine....
She's okay for a CAT! We look out
for her...She sure caught on to
the wings and flyin' around here

Hi There Pals of dogster and catster...I'm
zooming through to bark at YOU! I belong to the
Ponderosa Pack of: Angel Baby,Amazing Grace and
Precious. I was the last pup of the pack to have
my own corner. How dogster embraced me,even when
I was already at the bridge before I found dogster.
So many Angel pals,I've made in the last 4 yrs.
Baby finally joined me,so we could be together
again. Once Baby thought, Mom could now handle
Precocious Mazy on her own....
I want to thank all the Fur Families that became
friends of ours. We have traveled many roads
together in the last 4 years. We have had some
wonderful times. We take with us,many cherished

Howdy Earthly Pals,as well as All the Fur Angels
at the bridge. Thank you so very much for remembering
me on my special Barkday!
I didn't know until this year, that my barkday is
the anniversary of Dogster. They are 10 years old
today! WowZer,that is pretty special! My furmily
has made so very many furiends here. We LOVE them
Surprised to find that dogster wanted the furs
to help Celebrate today. They left FREE cakes
and balloons in the gifties for us to share.
Wake up those dogataries and catataries and
spread the balloons and cakes both far and wide!
Show all those Furs just how much you love them.
Here at the bridge there is a big party going on.
We're playin' with tons of dogster/catster balloons.
Cuttin' up cakes left and right. The BBQ grills
are fired up...Meatz of every kind is on there.
Steaks,chicken,pork,burgers and wieners....Yummy
to all the snouts around here. Even grills with fish!
Some of our furs, not just the kitties, like their fish.
We have endless games........Softball,soccer,sled races,
swimming,apple bobbing,hide n seek,chase,field and tracking.
That's just a few of the games....I forgot flying
races and cloud jumping are real popular around here.
I hear Angel Niki calling me. We share the same birthday.
We are two of the honored guests for the party today.
Mom-I'm doing just fine up here....Of course,I miss you!
I'll be here waiting for you. Angel Baby says, "Hi,Mom!"
the bridge is great. Foxie and I are so happy to be
together again. Angel Sassy Foxie throws angel dust kisses
as she flies off to join the games.
