New day..

Belle's companion Elliott found his Wonderful forever home a month ago, his new family is all that I could of ever wanted for him! Belle went through a spell of seperation anxiety but seems to be doing quite well. We babysat Elliott over the weekend and even though I was unsure if they would remember each other all went very well! I have more hope than ever that Belle can be trained to be socialized with more than just Elliott. I know that once we get over that hurdle we will have more hope that we can find Belle her forever home! She is such a sweet dog and makes me laugh!!!

Just having a good time...

Belle is becoming more of a funny dog! She is so cute when out of the blue she just starts playing by herself. She loves chasing anything thing that moves from the yard, her favorite obsession is the lizards on the brick wall that tease her. I think they know and do it on purpose. Belle's favorite thing at night is to watch T.V. from atop my stomach! she lays across me so that she won't miss anything. Another funny things is that my husband has tried very hard not to get attached to her, so he really tries not to pay attention to her, but she won't let that go, she gets happier when she sees him then when I get home. He can't help but play with her and give her attention. I tell him that whatever love we give her now will only help her when we finally find her forever home!

First day of class!

Belle, myself and my twin sister all went ot our first training class, even though Belle know basic commands, she dosen't know how to get along well with others so with her tail wagging and her mouth barking the whole time we survived! The trainer says she will be fine and not to worry! So off this week we go again!

Socialization!

Belle just completed 5 weeks of obediance, but unfortunelty even though her tail continues to wag she won't say Hi politely, she is such a smart dog that Im going to go and do some private lessons next! I have had my twin 8 yr old nephews this last week and she really like them, she even Played with them all by herself, they laughed so hard at her that she played all the more, what a warming feeling to know that she is really happy now. We pray everyday for her new forever home!

Enjoying her day!

Belle continues to amaze us, she now will start playing all by herself! She'll be laying next to me on the couch, jump up and start playing with a toy. The funniest thing is when she feels like playing I can chase her around the yard and she plays tag with me, first I chase her then she chases me, she really loves my twin sister too, so when she comes over she really gets playful! So good to see her really enjoying life!

more surprises

Belle continues to amaze me! She now has started really playing with myself and my twin sister, I m not sure who she likes more! She is hysterical when she runs around she runs with her front feet spread out in front of her and her back end low to the ground. She never used to play with me other than a toy, but now we'll go outside and play chase,first I chase her then she chases me! It so warms my heart that she truely is a happy dog!

Belle and her first snake enconter

Belle found her first gopher snake today! She had never seen one before, so her bark was quite different, she saw it on top of the 4 ft wall that surronds her area, we have a wire fence laid on top so she can get over it, and she pulled it through an it fell between the wall and a shed, I quickly picked her up until I knew what type of snake it was. Once I determined it was a good snake I put her safely in the house and we encourage the snake to go to the fence and to the bottom property. She was so Funny! she stalked it and when it moved jumbe a couple of feet backwards!! I wish I had my camera!

Belle found her New forever Home!!

Belle went to her new forever home on Saturday, after almost three years of searching and praying for the perfect person for Belle, we found him! His name is Michael. He recently lost his beloved "Perla" but knew that he needed another JR! He really knows and loves the breed, I couldn't ask for more!
