Rough couple of days

Mum hasn’t let me bark fur a while so it certainly is my turn.
We have been getting little bits of snow every few days recently. So we get just enough to cover the lawn and then it melts and then the next batch. We did get one where there was snow that covered the side walk fur and lasted about 3 days. That was the best one we had this year. They just keep missing us and going up to North Jersey, New York and New England. Duncan and I really want some snow to dig and roll in, but it just doesn’t seem like we’re going to get it again this year.
So in the colder weather Mum lets our furs all grow in and we get very shaggy. It helps to keep us warm. But we must have gotten too shaggy cause she took us to a new place on Sunday and we both got tortured. She seemed to like the results though I think I looked just fine the way I was. She will get some new pictures loaded one of these days.
Yesterday I got another car ride but just Mum & me. We went to the Doggie Dermatologist. He very nice but I still get scared in those places. I remember the time I was there and they did all kinds of things to me. Made me sleep, shaved some of my belly and then did many little injections and made all these bumps come up. Turns out I was allergic to all the things they tested. My fur grew back and they gave me something to help with my itching. But the allergy shots we are trying aren’t working. So I still am on other medication. We are now stopping the allergy shots and seeing how I do this Spring on just the new medication. Mum says we will probably wait a year or two and then maybe try the shots again. I’ll have to be retested so I agree, let’s wait fur a long time before we try that again.

Hamish, those allergy tests do not sound like fun. Paws crossed you will be ok on this new medication. I have so much snow that I would be happy to send you a truckload. Just let me know!

Those allergies are NO FUN. Momma says you can have our snow, cause she's had more than enough, and it's supposed to snow more tonight!

We are getting fresh snow, too...do you want the delivery truck to stop here, too??

Hope those naughty and pesky itchies stop. That is so awful to have to endure that all the time.

Hamish, you knows I feels your pain... itchies is the worst!! My allergy shots help some (don't have ear infections anymore) but they didn't fix me up either. The supplements from the holistic vet help some, this year wuz much better than last year, as duz baths every other day (don't quote me on the waterboardin', I has a reputation to maintain!) but sometimes the best that can be hoped for is for me to not be scratchin' myself raw.... right now Momma is using some low dose steroid for a week or so to break the cycle of my self-destruction....

Hope you find the right things to make you feel better...

Thanks everybody but I'm doing pretty good. The Dermatologist was very happy with my coat. I only had a couple of spots that showed I was working on them. So no raw stuff. I wear my shirt all the time and get a bath every week.
Please have the truck stop at as many places as want to share their snow. We would love to have it. That cold snow helps to kill some of the things I react to, so it's all good!
