Hi Pups,
So many of you have been so helpfur to my mom and me to decide about my sugery...especially Haylie! She is going thru same thing as me, she actually got the same bad news on the same day I did! She went to see a ortho vet and she shared what he said with me and he said that he does FHO surgery on lots of big dogs like us (well actually Haylie is full grown lab 90lbs, I'm still growing)and they do great! He said that like 10 years ago they said not to do it on big dogs but things are much better now! Also, several other pups emailed me with advice so thanks so pawwww much! I think Mom is going to try and schedule surgery for Monday July 26. My human brother will be back home then so he will be able to help watch me during the day, while I recover. We will let every pup know fur sure.
On a sadder bark today, my pup pal Sunny is very sick and he is only 2 years old..he and his mom are so nice..I know lots of you pups already know them. Please use POP on them they need it. You can look under my pup pals and find Sunny and read is diary.
Well, my Mom finalllly got me a new kong. She got the black one and so far, so good. I havent torn it up. It's pretty darn tough so I don't think I can destroy it.hehe
I'm still pretty bored but Mom won't let me do much. I took off after the cat last night in the back yard but I didn't make it but about 10-15 feet and I had to stop....hurt too bad!
Me and mom still get in my baby pool in the afternoons and I enjoy that. Mom doesn't understand why I don't get in it during the day while she is gone...she even put it on the deck for me so I wouldn't have to go down the stairs but I just like waiting on her!

Molly, I am so happy you found some pups to talk to about this surgery. Please keep us updated and my paws are crossed for you. Abby, Thank you so much..if it wasn't fur you I wouldn't of found Haylie. We found each other on the thread(not sure what it is called) you put out there for me. You and your mom are great!
