Likes:
Food, or anything resembling it. He will scrape gum off the sidewalk with his teeth if you let him. I don't.

Pet-Peeves:
Murphy's Kitty {his cat} can't have any of her own toys, he destroys only hers, not his. Hates any mailman, or anyone drunk or with a limp, even the elderly. Embarrassing at times.

Favorite Toy:
Mr. Murphy enjoys nurturing plush animals and wrestling hand puppets.

Favorite Food:
Everything, but especially rice and beans, whole carrots, catching popcorn in his mouth. A rotted piece of anything formerly edible that's left on the sidewalk in the sun for days is also just as delicious! Ants add flavor and crunch.

Favorite Walk:
Prospect Park early on a summer morning, topped off with a wade in up to his stomach at Dog Beach.

Best Tricks:
He can dance and twirl on hind legs for cookies, and jump through a hula hoop, also for snacks. Somehow, his neck is larger than his head, so he can't wear a collar, it slips right off when he wants it to. Nice trick there, Murph.

Arrival Story:
Clueless secretary at my last office job sent around an email asking if anyone wanted a one year old minpin, or it was going to the pound that Saturday. He was living in her garage, ignored for 12-14 hours a day. I asked her to bring him in on Friday, and when he was let out of his crate, I fell in love at first sight. He moved fast and was beautiful. About 10 minutes later, after inspecting the whole office, he took a dump under his former owners desk, and I knew that dog was coming home with me. He has a big scar on his back from being hit. It took 6 months before I could lean down and pet him without him cringing. Mr. Murphy is a chubby, pampered, fancy lad now, and an incurable optimist.

Bio:
My dog is a gem, a sweet natured player with a strong protective instinct. He loves cats, so a few years ago, a four week old white and orange kitten became Mr. Murphy's pet. They now wrestle, groom and sleep the days away together while I'm at work.
