I have a new ride! Mom bought me a trailer for her bike and now I get to go wherever she rides. It's just the right size and fits me perfectly. I didn't have any trouble getting used to it - as a matter of fact, as soon as she took it out of the box, I got right in. Before the wheels were even on. It's lower to the ground than my stroller, and, although I can see Mom, I'm behind her and she can't talk to me so easily, but I like going where she goes. Today we rode on a trail through the woods not far from our house. In order to get to the trail, though, we had to ride through a congested shopping area. Mom's still a little nervous on her bike, but it all went smoothly.
Tomorrow I have to go to the eye specialist. I'm not seeing very well out of my right eye. My vet didn't know if it was old age sclerosis or a cataract, so we're going to find out if something can be done about it. I still see well enough to play with my bunnies, though.

Hey Patch, Wow, nice new ride! It's like a sporty limo. Is your mom a good driver? I see you have a matching outfit. Looks good on you! Does your mom also have an outfit? We'd like the trail, there's grass for Casey and pavement for me. Which do you like better?
Don't worry about your eyesight. I don't see too well (cataracts), so I use my nose more. Teddy
Thanks for your comments, Teddy and Coco Rose. First - I passed my eye exam with flying colors at my appointment today! Just a little old-age sclerosis, but nothing serious. Mom and I are so relieved! I can't see as well in dim light as I used to, but neither can Mom, so she leaves a lot of lights on in the house anyway. My pupils don't contract like they used to and that's why I squint in bright light. It would help if Mom would stop taking pictures of me with the flash. She says in the summer she'll get me some doggles, but I have no need for them during Washington winters. My eye doctor invented OcuGlo which I've been taking for over a year. It's a pill with a lot of antioxidants and helps things like progressive retinal atrophy and other serious eye conditions. She invented it after my Mom's other shih tzu, Rocky, was diagnosed with this condition ten years ago, when there was no treatment for it and he lost his sight. Now dogs with PRA can keep their sight a lot longer.
Yup, I've got a fleece coat that matches my trailer - I got it last year so it's just a coincidence. Nope, Mom doesn't have a matching outfit. That would be silly.
Teddy, I like pavement to walk on and grass to sniff. When I've sniffed all the grass, then I prefer the pavement. What I really don't like is gravel.
Mom is NOT a good driver. She's kind of wobbly and doesn't steer straight, so I get a little nauseous. I was trying to tell her that by barking very loudly at one point, but she just kept saying, "We're almost home..."
