Arrival Story:
It was actually a fast decision. Dexter's mom's owner asked me if I wanted a puppy and kept asking for 2 weeks. I gave in knowing I wanted a pup of my own for the past 3 years and he came to me on his 7th week Birthday. He was pretty sick so we went to the vet and got him doctored up quite well. He's been healthy and happy since then and I love having him with me!

My mom just found out today that I was featured in the "diary of the day" section on Friday. We missed it!!!!! I'll have to be dilligent and maybe they'll feature me again someday.

It's Sunday morning and it's a relaxing day. I woke up mom at 5:45 and we played a little. I love fetch!!! Even though I'm not a retreiver, I could best them any day! My mom got me these awesome little tennis balls from Kong. They even squeek!!! My favorite one is the orange one... but hey, that's my color! No wonder I love it so!

It's time to take a cat nap.... hahahaha oh those cats know what they are doing when they nap all the time! I love to stretch out and just completely relax. What could be better?

Have a great Sunday everyone!!!!!

It's a dog's life....

Puppy School!

I went to my first puppy class last night. I felt like an old man because I'm 6 months old and the other guy there was just 9 weeks. I am SOOOO better behaved than him. I mean, I know how to walk on a leash, I can sit, lay down, give a high five and all that stuff. This guy wouldn't even stand still! It was his first time with a collar and leash. Oh, I remember those days.... they seem like they were forever ago!

I was really annoyed by the little guy. He kept chasing me around trying to play with me. My mom just laughed and laughed. I didn't understand what was so funny. She was telling the trainer lady that I deserved it because I do that to my uncle, Tiki. Whatever! I am SO not like that guy! He was SO Annoying!

I'm hoping we'll go to the dog park this weekend. I guess I still have to be careful because my surgery was only a week ago, but I'm ready to go play! I'll have to bat my big beautiful eyes at my mom... maybe I can melt her heart enough to make her do what I want! heheheh hoh hoh oh Woof!

The Most Extreme Tax!

It was the morning of Thursday, April 15th.... TAX DAY.

My mom took me to the car just like normal and I was hopeful I was going to work with her again. NOT EVEN CLOSE!

She took me to the VET! I had to have my blood drawn, they shaved my arm, I had to sit in a little box that had a wire front that I could look out of longingly and then they took me somewhere. I don't know what happened but I know that when I woke up my "little buddies" were gone! Someone took them from me! The most ultimate tax anyone could ever expect anyone to give....

They put this big plastic thing around my neck and I couldn't see behind me at all! I sat around and watched stuff out the front of the little box. People were walking by all day and I just sat and watched.

My mom finally came to get me and I was so happy to see her! She just didn't know how horrible my day was! She hugged me and kissed my head while we waited for the doctor lady to come in and show her what they did to me.

When the vet showed my mom what they did to me, I noticed her face get pale and she got really weird and just kept saying, "Uh huh... Uh huh" to everything the doctor lady said. She tried to be brave but it was just too much. She was paying the front desk lady and told her to come and grab me before she passed out. It was scary! After sitting around for 15 minutes or so, my mom came back to get me and take me home.

I was SO glad to be back at home and she even let me sleep in her bed with her that night. I know my tax was not what I wanted to pay, but I know it will be worth it in "the end". hehehe
