Moving to the Desert

Not too long ago my mom and dad said that would be moving to a place called Phoenix. I was not sure what this meant until one day we started a very long car ride from Michigan. I really love car rides but this was the longest one I ever took. At night, my parents stopped and we slept in a room and then got up the next morning and took the same looooooong car ride. This happend 3 days in a row! I couldn't believe it.

Finally, I arrived in that place called Phoenix. Man is it hot here! I am a little disappointed because I have not seen any squirrels and my mom also told me that I will not get to play in the snow this winter. Otherwise, it is a pretty neat place out here and I get to go hiking in the mountains with my parents soon! Hopefully I will meet some doggy friends out here to play with. I am really going to miss my best pal Finnegan....

The Baseball Diamond

The other day my mom and my Aunty Sarah took me and Finnegan to this place called a baseball diamond. When we got there, they took the leashes off and I was SOOO excited because I finally got to run after being cooped up in the house for a few days. The very first thing I did was sniff everything and then I pee on it! When Finnegan saw me peeing on things he followed me and then peed on the same things. I really can't stand when he does this because it means I have to go back and pee on everything all over again which is exactly what I did. After peeing on everything I decided to lay down and prepare for a sneak attack on Finnegan. When Finnegan got close to me, I leaped up into the air and slammed right into him! Wow, did this start a great play wrestling match.... Finnegan can sound pretty ferocious but everyone including me knows its just play stuff.

A bit later our new friend Mary Lou and her mom came to the baseball diamond. She is sooo very cute!! I was soooo mad when she completely walked by me and started to play with Finnegan. I tried everything to impress her (I even licked her ears) but all she wants to do is play with Finn. I think for our next play date, I will get my special conditioning creme rinse the day before so I smell good and have soft fur and maybe Mary Lou will fall in love with me. I am determined to convince Mary Lou to fall in love with me, it will happen......

My Day At Twin Peaks

Today I got to go see my friends at the underground dog park!! It started at 1o am when I noticed my mom putting her snow pants on, this is when I know I am in for some fun! Driving to twin peaks I can barely contain my excitement and I think mom was getting mad because my excitement whines are ear piercing and quite annoying to her human ears. By the time we arrived, my mom was anxious to let me out of the car so her ears could have a break. As soon as she let me out I ran down the hill to meet up with Alaska, and Lily. Alaska is a Siberian Husky and very pretty might I add and Lily is an American Staffordshire Terrier and she is a very fiesty girl. Today I instigated a very fast paced game of chase. I love when everyone runs after me. I really like it when I can pretend I am hunting and remain motionless until Alaska runs by and then out of no where, I tackle her to the ground. Lilys favorite thing to do is body slam and pretend she is attacking me but we both know it is pretend. I used to hate when dogs body slammed me but now since I take my medicine, I once again play like the young man that I am.

Later I looked up the hill and one of my all-time best lady friends Sheila decided to join us. Sheila is a cattle dog mix and very cute and petite. She talked her mom into driving in the blizzard so she can see me (ok, the others too). Later, I glanced up the hill and there she was, Roxy, a big hairy Chow/Shepherd, my dream woman. I met Roxy in the summer and we didn't hit it off because I wasn't feeling to hot, but a few weeks ago we struck a love connection (don't tell anyone, but I was really scared of her at first). We both have a kind of frisky mutual respect for each other. Now she is all I ever think about! When I see her, my whole back end wiggles in excitement and I even bark and play growl to show her how much she means to me. Today after all the dogs got tired, I still wanted to play so I just tried to steal my moms gloves. When I realized I couldn't get her gloves I started to chase and bite at her boots, I am not sure why I did this but it was sure fun to see my mom run away from me! After a couple hours my mom said it was time to go. I was so bummed because I was just having such a great time with all of my friends. On the way home my mom told me what a good boy I was and how proud she was that I am so happy now that I am feeling better. I can't wait for next Sunday at Twin Peaks.
